Third Visit - Downhill Care Customer Service
This was our third visit to the property in three years. Unfortunately, we noticed a continued decline in the condition of the indoor and outdoor furniture, with visible mold, dirt, and signs of neglect. Upon arrival, the home had a strong odor of marijuana smoke.The bathroom was particularly concerning. The shower had significant mildew, and the grimy ceiling caused unpleasant sludge to drip down during use. The shower curtain was also in poor condition and clearly had not been cleaned or replaced for some time.We allowed a full year for the owners and management to address our previous concerns, but unfortunately, there has been no meaningful improvement. We later learned that Vacasa, not VRBO, manages the property, which contributed to a confusing and unproductive communication process. While we made repeated efforts to follow up—including traveling into town to reach either VRBO or Vacasa—these issues remained unresolved.In summary, the property offers a stunning view, and a short one-night stay might be enjoyable. However, for longer stays, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and zero assistance makes it difficult to recommend.
