First off, this is our second time staying here, and we will be back again.
This house is very well maintained. As you approach, you'll be struck by the quality of the exterior, the architectural details, and the widow's peak. Then you'll meet the hostess, Bonnie, who is friendly and inviting. Once inside, you'll likely be struck by the meticulousness of the interior. Very clean and filled with period details covering the range from the 1880s (just guessing) to the modern era. At the same time, this is all very usable space - meticulous yes, but the 100 year old chairs really are there to be sat in. Many rooms to enjoy: a parlor (where the furniture feels like it might have horse hair stuffing, maybe 1900s), the office, with chairs maybe from the 1920s, a massive dining room with table seating for comfortably 12. Lots and lots of space. There is an indoor hot tub, large also, although it was needing some repair work this past time.
Each bedroom on the second floor has a very comfortable bed. The master bedroom has its own attached bath. There is another bathroom down the hallway for all the others to use, and another bathroom on the first floor.
Other nice amenities include an outdoor fireplace (there's an indoor one too), a grill, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Also, there are a number of TVs throughout for downtime.
The location is great too, a very short walk to the downtown, which we would walk to for food and to check out the farmer's market on Saturday morning. The town of Oxford is beyond safe. Very peaceful.
Could not recommend this place higher. From the hostess, to the property, to the location, each is beyond compare.
