Weekend stay
We loved the location of the place. You can see the ocean down the street. A cute/quiet part of town that’s walkable to lots of restaurants, bars, shops and not too far of a walk to the aquarium (30 min walk).

Excellent Location. The photos on the site do not do the property justice. Wonderful high ceilings, comfortable beds, lovely sitting porch, across from the quilt shop, excellent full-service grocery just one block over.

California Dreaming
This amazing Townhouse tucked away within the shops of Pacific Grove is a must stay. We walked in to a clean, welcoming home away from home. We were able to take in the beauty of the coast and return to the comfort of this home.

Good stay
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! The location was the best part and it was plenty spacious. Furnishings/decor could use some updating, but that may be a personal preference. Window treatments in the upstairs bedroom need replacing. My husband pulled one of the shades down to close it- it wasn’t secured and the bracket fell and bruised his nose. Otherwise, I would recommend.

Cozy home, quiet neighborhood
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Ain't Life Grand. The home was as pictured & described. We didn't have a reason to contact management, everything was seamless from check-in to checkout. The neighborhood is very quiet & the ocean is in walking distance. We agree that if we are ever back in Pacific Grove we'll consider this place.

Cool place!
Loved this property! Great location, walked to brunch and shops and it was a short drive to the aquarium. The unique space was clean, quiet, had comfy beds and a nice kitchen. Couldn’t have been more pleased!

Pacific Grove Stay In Town Walk to Bay
We enjoyed our stay at Ain't Life Grand. Great location for restaurants and shops. We had an issue with the business for piano and percussion lessons next door. We could hear every note and there were a lot of scales. We had not been made aware of this before booking. The contact phone number we had for Kyle was not in service and he did not respond to email.

Great stay
Great place on quiet street. Loved having a parking spot. Son loved having the upstairs to himself. Walk to coffee and other conveniences. Only improvement would be more water pressure in shower.

Perfect Location
Perfect location for walking around. Very clean and comfortable. Called for laundry detergent that was missing and tv that wasn’t working after storms. It was immediately taken care of by property manager that was very nice and responsive. Great stay!

Girls weekend
Perfect location in Pacific Grove for a girls weekend. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance as well as walks to the water. The unit was clean overall but looked like certain areas hadn't been dusted in awhile (kitchen cabinets and oven hood).

The BEST location!
Pacific Grove is idyllic and this location is simply unbeatable! It’s urban living done perfectly. We walked to every meal, a movie, shopping, Lovers Point, all day every day. Perfection! Only room for improvement would be to replace the window coverings in the bedrooms with something blackout and mounted outside the frame. Definitely glad we brought eye masks!

Hidden Gem
Wonderful home and wonderful location. The home was very clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Nestled in downtown Pacific Grove made for an enjoyable stay, walking distance to shops, restaurants and Lover’s Point.

Loved it!
We loved our stay here! Perfect for our little family. Great location for our family to walk to restaurants and lovers point! Only thing we wish is that there was a few basic thing like salt, pepper and sugar but understand they were taken out of the house because of Covid. Hopefully they will be able to be put back soon. We’ll come back and stay again!

Location, location, location
Great location in the center of town. We were prepared for noise in the alley at night and found it to be quiet. There is a music studio next door and we did hear piano lessons but the sound was muffled (some practice sessions were better than others)

Basically, we stayed in what appeared to br a ‘store front’ except opening the ‘inner’ door revealed a very stylish little two bedroom loft style apartment. It was wonderful!

A great place to stay
This house has everything we needed for our brief stay on the Monterey Peninsula. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of seating, parking was easy, and it was close to everything we wanted to do. Would stay again!

Perfect place!
This was such a perfect place for our family of 4 with 2 small children. Right around the corner from really great local restaurants and boutiques. We also ended up just walking to the Monterey Aquarium which was only a short walk and didn’t have to worry about parking. It is right next to a music lesson shop which we actually really loved listening to the piano and it was quiet by dinner time. Only downfall was that they did not offer a pack n play for liability reasons but we figured it out! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone we know to stay here!

Kicking’ It in Pacific Grove
Great place. Clean, comfortable and so close to everything!! Spent days on the beach down the street. Had meals right around the corner. Cute shops throughout downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

A Grand Stay
We loved staying at this perfectly situated, quiet property. It was close to restaurants, unique shops, sightseeing spots like the Monterey Aquarium and the gorgeous ocean. Parking was easy…just across the street with a dedicated spot. The kitchen was easy to use and equipped nicely. The rooms were comfortable and nicely sized. The heating system took care of our heating needs quite quickly. It provided us with a safe and comfortable get-a-way!

Unique Townhouse in Pacific Grove
This townhouse is in a perfect location in the middle of downtown Pacific Grove. The table in the front room window is the ideal perch to watch people coming and going. Everything inside is spotless, attractive and comfortable.

Life Is Grand
This property was a beautiful and relaxing home away from home. The location was ideal for access to all the Monterey peninsula has to offer. Steps away from wonderful restaurants and shops. A short walk to the waterfront with its beautiful walking path. We will be back.

The property was very charming , my only complaint is when staying there not enough toiletries. In my opinion when you are paying over $1000 for a 3 nights stay you really shouldn’t have to worry about having enough toilet paper.

Great spot for small group
Perfect for our family of four long weekend trip! Walking distance to the aquarium and other local sites. We had trouble with the electronic lock and the property manager was quick to respond and resolve! Only issue we bumped into was odd selection of cooking equipment. Didn't have cookie/baking sheet but did find a rolling pin and muffin pan. Recommend adding some more pots/pans but otherwise had everything we needed.

Dreamy Winter Vaca
The most favorite place Ive ever stayed. Central to everything. Could walk down the street and grab anything i needed, close drive to aquarium, dennis the menace, and cannery row. Short walk to Lovers Point Beach. The apartment is on such a dreamy little street with a large open park nearby, went to the Farmer’s Market to get dinner one night, had live music. The apartment itself was perfect, no complaints :)

comfortable, clean, and spacious - in a great location
The location -- a half block off Pacific Grove's main street and just a few blocks from the ocean -- is perfect. Check in and check out are both done automatically, through the keypad on the front door -- which is very convenient and easy to use. The interior was spotless. We cooked a fair amount in the kitchen, and everything worked. The place was very spacious. There's a designated parking space right across the road, just steps away, and there was also plenty of street parking. Very happy with the experience.

This property was as described. Even thoughI had seen the photos, it felt to me like I was living in a cave because there were no windows once the door to the “storefront” was closed. And I wouldn’t have been comfortable sitting in the storefront since there would be no privacy. When we arrived we found that the refrigerator ice machine didn’t work and there were no trays to make ice. I called the manager as well as the maintenance person, both of whom said that someone should bring over some ice, which no one did. It was never fixed.

We're very sorry you did not find the accommodation to your liking (most guests adore this "urban oasis"). We apologize for the snafu over the ice - both our handyman and repairman were contacted and there was a miscommunication between them. We have ordered a repair to the refrigerator and will be sure to put ice trays in the freezer in the interim.

Great location in Pacific Grove
This is a very cute and well-located property. The only thing to be aware of is that the upstairs bedroom (which has only a 1/2 bath) has a VERY squeaky bed and floorboards. So, if anyone is staying up there, the room below will definitely hear their movements. We only had friends stay one night, but they didn't sleep well due to the bed being very noisy every time they moved. Could probably be easily addressed with a box spring or foundation, as the mattress sits directly on wooden slats. Otherwise, very quiet area and a charming place.

Picture Perfect in Pacific Grove
We had an amazing stay! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property! It was a very nice size for 3 people, with 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It was very clean. We found having a washer and dryer came in very handy. The front sun room was an added bonus. We ate dinner and played cards at the table. We also read our books on the comfortable couch in the front as well. The house was updated with great finishes in the kitchen and the bathroom. I wish I owned this property!! It is great!! The parking spot came in very handy. It is located right across the street in the parking lot. If you want to stay at a place within walking distance of the beach as well as the Monterey Aquarium, this is the place for you!

Magical Respite
