4/10
I prefer small, simple apartments with great locations and thought this would meet those requirements. It did not. To be clear, at least some of this is my own fault -- I didn't read the reviews.
Who this is good for: young couple with excellent back doing Paris on a shoestring budget. Everyone else, look elsewhere.
The pros: It's literally a five minute walk to the Louvre, the Seine, and everything else. The room was clean and technically met all the requirements in the ad.
The cons: There isn't a queen sized bed and a futon, there's an uncomfortable queen sized sleeper couch and a chair that folds out into a wildly uncomfortable facsimile of a bed. Both folded out takes up the whole damned room (which is literally just a room). That I should have gotten from reading the ad more closely.
The rest though.... Much could be improved with 100 Euro at Ikea and ten minutes of effort. There were all of two rolls of toilet paper and one dish cloth, no salt or sugar in the kitchen, and the electric kettle was the cheapest possible sort.
The "information card" was clearly generic for a large number of apartments and the information didn't apply to that specific apartment half the time. Half the lightbulbs were burned out, and there was still masking tape on the window trim (and it wasn't a fresh paint job).
There's one door and one window and ventilation is terrible -- after a week, mold was growing in the shower from lack of air flow.
