Paris…without the extras
This little Parisian apt was not what one would consider spacious, but adequate for us with two adults and two children. Closet storage was ample, though a couple doors were off track, which made it difficult to utilize. There was pretty extensive water damage on the wooden floors in the bedroom with some screws securing pieces that were elevated, and several areas that appear moldy on the floors and bathroom/shower. Our socks caught on the floor screws a handful of times, and there was a rug screwed to the floor to cover up more damage-concerning for mold exposure! The bathroom sink backed up the first time we used it. There were two fans in the closet, both with a missing knob, and one struggling to work most of the time. Windows opened nicely and the sheer drapes were helpful to enjoy the breeze and privacy at the same time. Regarding the bathroom window-upon waking in the morning and using the toilet, I was greeted by a peeping construction worker. We covered the window as much as possible, but he found the gaps, which made it very uncomfortable and felt unsafe for our teens to shower. This window needs a privacy cover. If I was crashing at a friend’s house, I would take the space and make adjustments. For air B&B, there should have been more than one tp roll (we got one roll for four guests/4nights), an extra trash bag or two, and some kind of welcome booklet to orient us to the area, restaurants, and transportation near us.
