While a studio, the white walls & efficient layout made the space appear larger. The BR area/apt. in general has a surprising amt. of closet/storage space! We also found it to be well equipped suppliesappliances-wise (which we made full use of). For me (and my husband), the biggest positives were: 1) the private rooftop, where we enjoyed Sunday Brunch, relaxing on nice days with a glass of wine, and watching the lighted Eiffel Tower at night...esp. as it sparkles on the hr. at 10 PM/later. We also enjoyed fireworks from the rooftop when Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) WON the Champions League final against Inter Milan. 2) Saint-Germain-des-Prés itself...all the shops, restaurants & cafesit's walkability; e.g., a nice & easy walk to the exquisite Jardin du Luxembourg. The biggest negative for us: Even in understanding challenges in renovating a 17th century bldg., what Francois had described to me as "having to climb a few steps from street level to the elevator"...in actuality were 20 stairs to the elevator. We traveled in Europe for 3 wks. & each of our bags was HEAVY. Thankfully our son lives in Paris...and he handled the luggage; both when we arrived & when we left. :-) Lastly, we generally were out & about and we both readily fell asleep at bedtime. However, voices from the BUSY! Bar next door are audible at night. The BR is most ideal for sound sleepers like us. We loved the area, as well as the apt. itself...and, happily, my husband & I enjoyed only "sweet dreams!" - ALOHA!
