“The room was ensuite and well equipped and we found the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of options. We had the full English breakfast and were delighted with the high quality of the bacon etc. The swimming pool was heated and was available from early morning to late evening. The host -Craig - was always very friendly and helpful. We plan to stay there again whenever visiting that area of Devon. ”

“The buffet breakfast was excellent: there were wide choices to suit every taste. The reception staff were exceptional: we have seldom encountered such a welcoming, considerate team. They did all they could to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. During our stay, there was extensive building work being carried out on the campus -which resulted in diversions and restricted parking spaces - but this was obviously a temporary problem. ”

“The lobby, bar and restaurant have an elegant and timeless feel. I loved relaxing on the terrace with a cup of tea and a book. The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. The windows opened and in late August with the fan in the room - I was comfortable. The comfort of the rest of the hotel and the fantastic sauna, pool and hot tub made up for the bed and air...
