Comfortable cottage
The cottage was comfortable and clean. The weather was cold and wet when we were there and so we were not able to enjoy the garden but the rhododendron blooms were pretty. It was a good place for a base to visit southern Cornwall - Land's End, Lizard Point, Michael's Mount were some of the places we visited.

Lovely space to stay good base to explore
Beautiful surroundings, lovely hosts and comfortable. Good use of space and well appointed. Definitely need a car for access as they have mentioned. Highly recommend.

Peace, Quiet and amazing scenery
A very thoughtfully presented property in a quiet location. Easy access to both North and South coasts and a wealth of fascinating sites to visit in between. The property is so well equipped that if the weather is unkind you can happily spend a day with a good book and the log burner

Dark Skies
It was a lovely little barn conversion tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet and had the most stunning dark skies so stargazing was fabulous!!

A Great Place to Stay
This is a perfect place for a quiet stay in Cornwall; a cabin set in a beautiful garden somewhat off the beaten track. Although in many ways remote, this is only around 30 minutes walk into Mousehole and about 10 minutes drive from Newlyn, Penzance and a couple of big supermarkets. You can even walk to Lamora Cove in a couple of hours. Lots of great places to see and a cream tea on arrival. Thank you for a great holiday.

Lovely cottage. Very quiet and remote.
Lovely well equipped cottage. Off the beaten track so very quiet. Only 2 issues. Bed is very squeeky and not the most comfy. You cant leave your dog alone in the property which limites esting out etc.

Time in the far west
A lovely little barn conversion in a beautiful quiet spot near mousehole, near to everything in the far southwest corner of Cornwall. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, warm and secluded place to stay that is in this beautiful area then look no further.

Cosy cottage for two, well positioned for visiting the the Lands End peninsular
The cottage was previously the owners art studio and as such is bright and airy. The conversion has been done to a very high standard, offering a well equipped and cosy accommodation. Penzance/ Newlyn is just a short drive away providing supermarkets and restaurants. The beautiful harbour village of Mousehole is less than a mile walk and is well worth a visit. If you are feeling energetic you can continue along the scenic coastal path to Lamorna Cove and loop back to the cottage. Thankyou to Claire and Bern who made us feel very welcome.

Our stay
A very enjoyable stay at the cottage, it was out in the sticks but once you no where you are going it was ok .central for beaches and shops. Overall highly recommend.

Short Break
Lovely clean property very clean & comfortable. The access is narrow track so not really able to go out safely in the dark!

Thank you for reviewing your stay Jeanette. I'm sorry you found the track so alarming, it is after all only 200 meters long. It is used by us, our neighbours and our weekly supermarket deliveries, day and night, without mishap. Im so glad you enjoyed the cottage and found it comfortable.

If you don't have a vehicle you are in for a lot of walking Mousehole is very hilly

Thank you for your review Colin, it is a lovely peaceful place to stay and we do recommend having a car. Then, as you found, Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance are just a few minutes away and our location is ideal for exploring the whole area.

a Treat
Beautiful & comfortable spot. Relaxing - down a country lane but very close to all the sites and minutes from major cities Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. Great sunsets.

relaxen in cornwall
Eine sehr ruhige und beschauliche Ferienwohnung. Die Anfahrt ist etwas trickie, aber man erreicht von dort alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Gegend. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und freundlich.

Such a quaint cottage

Everything perfect
We only stopped for 3 nights but wished we'd booked longer. From the moment of arival we were made to feel welcome, and to say that we were impressed with the accomodation would be an understatement - the garden was stunning, and the simple but tasteful decor in the cottage helped to make a fantastic break. We'll be back!

A hidden gem
We were welcomed by Claire and Bern, who had thoughtfully left us a lovely cream tea which was very welcome. The cottage was spotless, set in a beautiful garden. It was extremely quiet, which made it even more relaxing. The cottage is light and airy, with plenty of space and plenty of storage and has been tastefully fitted out and decorated. A perfect getaway for a couple and we can't wait to return.

Lovely cottage miles from anywhere and access roads are rough small tracks. You need to provide separate packets/bins if you want guests to recycle kitchen waste.

Easter/Birthday Weekend Away
I took my fiancé for Easter/His Birthday weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Whilst Penzance itself was disappointing, we had wonderful hosts. Fantastic food in Mousehole and thoroughly enjoyed St Ives and our trip to Land’s End. We were sad to leave, the cottage set in beautiful gardens, peaceful and cosy break. Big thank you for lending us part of your beautiful space.

Hidden gem
If you want peace and quiet this is the place. Lovely setting in a quiet location but only just a few short miles to so many beautiful Cornish attractions. The property is ideal for a couple and their dog to go exploring. It is well maintained and clean and the log burner makes it so cosy. Being greeted with a cream tea is delightful and even though we arrived a little early we were made to feel welcome. Everything you could need is provided and a very big thank you to our hosts. Would definitely stay again.

We had a much needed rest and recharge of our batteries at an idyllic cottage which was perfect for 2. So easy to get to those beautiful parts of Cornwall that not everyone knows about and plenty of beach walks.

We spent 5 days in Cheyenhal Garden Cottage and enjoyed every minute. Accommodation was excellent with courtyard garden for evening drink! Would recommend it thoroughly for a couple.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The cottage was well equipped with great facilities and an excellent location to explore South West Cornwall. The property is very private and quiet and the gardens are beautiful.

Idyllic Getaway
From the moment we booked this property, our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The communication from the property was quick, clear and helpful. The cottage itself is superb, with all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable, homely stay. Claire and Bernard were lovely and approachable, and pleased to help whenever it was needed. The cream tea waiting for us when we arrived was a great touch. Perfectly secluded and private, with virtually no intrusion, the cottage was ideal for a relaxing holiday. Whilst the cottage is off the beaten track, and does require a confident driver behind the wheel, we couldn't complain about the location. Mousehole was a walkable distance, and Penzance a short drive or taxi ride, so still felt close to all links and the buzz of the beautiful Cornish towns. We wouldn't hesitate to book the cottage again, and were very sad to leave. Cannot recommend enough.

Beautiful self catering cottage in rural Mousehole area. well equipped. Very clean and bright inside. Beautiful private garden attached to the cottage for our use only. very private not over looked by anyone. Lovely owners who were helpful and friendly. The cottage was situated in a good area with easy access to Lands end, St Michael's mount and other attractions. I would very much recommend this cottage.

Hidden little gem
This is a fabulous little hidden gem, the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable, we felt very safe and welcomed. The directions to find the cottage were spot on. The wood burner was a joy. We will definitely return one day.

Memorable setting
I enjoyed the privacy and convenience of this location. It was a very comfortable place with all amenities readily available. It felt like home with the lounge and kitchen together and separate bedroom with comfy bed and wonderful shower. Would highly recommend it!
