Thank you for the review - obviously it would have helped us to understand why you rate us as 'Poor' if you had let us know any specifics, so that we could try and make ourselves better in the areas you feel we did not perform - our Reception is open all day until at least 10pm, although we do know that some people find it difficult to mention any problems they might have.

We always service rooms for guests, unless they tell us that they do not want them to be tidied. We are sorry that you have lost your bank card, as we all know how inconvenient this can be, but we did ask our cleaning team and no one had seen it. We also checked the refuse which was taken from your room and there was nothing there. We have tried to contact you but have been unsuccessful, so we are glad that we have this opportunity to let you know what we have found. Although we agree that a misplaced bank card is a pain, we are absolutely sure that the loss was not to do with our team - we did hope that it would turn up for you when you returned home but obviously it hasn't. Sadly, as we do feel that the loss was not something which was as a result of any of our action or inaction, we feel that a refund would not be appropriate in this case. We have talked to the cleaning team, who we do train very highly, regarding being aware of what may be accidentally thrown away by guests etc, so we do expect that this situation will not happen again. We would like to offer our apologies that this has happened and hope that the new card didn't take too long to get to you.
