I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but I've got to say I was scratching my head when I read you tersely-worded review. The pictures of my house on my VRBO page are totally accurate, so why did you choose a house that - to your eye - is "outdated" and "weird?" And having chosen the house based on the pictures, why would you complain about the decor? And give me 3 stars? BTW, the master bath is not dysfunctional. If you had issues with you, the thing to do would be to call me while you were there to report a dysfunction and I would've had my plumber out there pronto. Does the bathroom look like it was decorated by Joanna Gaines? No. I wish it did, too. But it does work.

Hi Ellen - Thank you for sharing your experience at my house. I'm puzzled, however, by some of your issues. Re the outside furniture - there is furniture (a glider and two chairs) on the front porch. The other outdoor furniture is under a pergola in the lawn....I'm not sure why you thought all furniture was on the porch and I'm not sure why it's a bad thing to have a pergola with furniture on the back lawn. My house has three outdoor areas: the front porch, the pergola, and the picnic benches in the glade of trees. As for the hammock, as I'd told you, we were waiting for the new one (which is now there) to replace the unusable old one. I had the cleaners walk me through the pergola area with their phones and video showed - at least at that time-the swinging chair with the pillow. As the pillow is tied to the chair, it's hard to imagine that it was gone. The bird poop? That IS gross, but when furniture is outdoors in the country, it happens, and I apologize for that. My cleaners are now paying even closer attention to this. And reading light and comfy chair? I'm also puzzled by this. There is ample overhead lighting in all the rooms, plus at least one table lamp in each room and a desk lamp. The living room has overhead lighting, two floor lamps, a table lamp on the console table, and the desk lamp. There's lighting on the front porch and pergola as well. Comfort is subjective, of course, but I've always found the seating in the living room and dining room to be comfortable. In five years, no guest has ever mentioned lack of lighting or chair comfort. So, I'm sorry this was your experience.
