Hi John,EXPEDIA called on your behalf, wanting to cancel, and was told that we can accommodate a date change and not a cancellation. When we got no further follow-up re your request to cancel, we left your reservation intact. You went ahead and must have made a new reservation at THE LODGINGS. As to why, We do not know, but you were told by the the front desk agent that your accommodation at SFGB was still available for checkin. You chose to stay at THE LODGINGS. It is clear that you had some difficulty navigating the EXPEDIA site, as ALL messages re checkin was sent via same. I trust that the issue you are having with EXPEDIA, will be resolved soon.

This is a very strange review, for the following reasons:1. Roaches. We have never had an infestation of roaches. However, had you said something, we would have looked into that. We will, definitely, look into this.2. The issue of ants is possible, as the rainy weather may have resulted in them migrating inside. had you issued a complaint, we would have addressed the issue. We will, definitely, address that. 3. We have been having torrential rains, and are looking into addressing that. It does not rain here regularly, so this is a new issue for us We are looking into addressing the issue. Thank you.

Thanks for your stay. I will look at the lighting on the property, but we have no control over the light ing on the road. However, my memory is that is a lighted posts across the street. We could have had someone pick up the key, at a cost of 25.00

1.Location was the best part of the property, close walk to Grace Bay beaches and shops and restaurants. THANK YOU.2.Condo was clean, but missing a screen on one bedroom, door handle was broken so the only way to keep door closed was with the deadbolt lock. THANKS. WILL ADDRESS THIS.The pool area needed a bit of cleaning, tree needles and dirt on deck chair cushions. WILL ADDRESSInternet worked well and rooftop deck was nice.THANKS

Hi Aylin,Good day. Sorry for the inconvenience. You checked in on the 6th and checked out on the 9th. We do not offer daily cleaning service, as stated on the booking site. There are enough towel/rags in the unit, to last for this period, and onsite laundry facility. We do offer a mid week cleaning, which would not have applied to your 3 nights stay. Based on my understanding, you initially wanted to have an additional guest, staying in the unit, and needed to know the cost of this additional guest, you were told, that, that unit could NOT accommodate an additional guest. Having spoken to Jaymel, and not getting the satisfaction that you needed, you called and spoke to another agent, who explained to you, and you could cancel that reservation, and do an upgrade to another unit. The agent explained to you, that this you would need to do through the company that you booked, through (ORBITZ), since you did not book directly through us. Our understanding from you, was that, that is what you were doing. I will speak to Jaymel on this matter.

The property didn’t not give much details about transportation fee from airport to office then from office WE DID TELL YOU THAT WE WOULD CALL YOU A CAB. WE DO NOT DETERMINE THE COST OF THE CAB; THE GOVERNMENT DOES.2. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU BOOK. IT CLEARLY STATES WE DO HAVE A COIN OPERATED WASHER/DRYER ON PROPERTY. SORRY ABOUT THE 'BROKEN' MACHINE, IT WAS JUST FULL. Front desk 3. WE SERVICE THE UNIT MID WEEK. IF YOU USE UP THE TOILETRIES BEFORE THE SERVICE, THEN YOU NEED TO REPLENISH. AGAI, THIS IS CLEARLY STED IN THE MESSAGE YOU RECEIVED. I WILL SPEAK TO THE FRONT DESK STAFF ABOUT THE 'NOT HAPPY' ATTITUDE.

I guess cutting your trip short, to go in search of him was really worth itAgain, I apologize for the error in the room mix up. You stated that you booked on ORBITZ. We did not list our property on ORBITZ, we are on EXPEDIA. Apparently, ORBITZ is a subsidiary of EXPEDIA. On EXPEDIA, The Cottage is 375.00/night and The Studio is 350.00. If there is a markup on ORBITZ, I don't know, but what I got from EXPEDIA, was 300.00/night, and it is from this 300.00, that I gave you.Please speak with ORBITZ and/or EXPEDIA.

Hi Lauren,Thank you for your stay. Thank you for your review. 1. First, would I stay here again? Absolutely, without question. THANK YOU. WE WOULD, DEFINITELY, HOST YOU AGAIN.2. Was it perfect? Not exactly. The location was superb. A few minutes' walk to the beach, to the stores, to the restaurants. Very safe area. We walked to the Fish Fry which is a little less than a mile but felt very safe. Our unit, the 3 BR Family Suite, had a deck off of the back and a patio off of the front. Everything was in good condition. The AC in the main bedroom wasn't great but the rest of the unit was cooled very well by the other AC units. WE WILL HAVE THIS CHECKED BY OUR MAINTENANCE CREW3. Check in was a very long wait in line - over 30 minutes. THE FESTIVE SEASON IS USUALLY THE BUSIEST, AND SOMETIMES THINGS TAKE A BIT LONGER THAN USUAL. HOWEVER, WE WILL LOOK INTO HOW THIS ISSUE CAN BE FIXED.4. There are plate and utensils but nothing else. Typically, when we rent a unit there are some basics - salt and pepper, paper towels, napkins, etc. Not here, had to buy everything new. ANYTHING FOOD RELATED, WE DO NOT PROVIDE. WE MUCH PREFER TO AVOID ISSUES RELATED. HOWEVER, I AM SURPRISED THAT THERE WERE NO PAPER TOWELS, AS WE DO PROVIDE SAME. WILL SPEAK WITH OUR CLEANERS. 5. Shower pressure and hot water were acceptable but not great. AGAIN, I WILL SPEAK TO MAINTENANCE.6. Overall. really liked it and would stay again for sure.THANK YOU. SEE YOU SOON

Hi Al 'Lear, thanks for your feed back. I do apologize for the inconveniences caused. You would have noticed that we have made major improvements to the property/unit, since we took over. Some of these include a complete overhaul to the master bathroom, new furnishings, A/C in areas where there were none. We have updated the pool area, with a granite counter top barbecue area and a grill, added more seating for outdoor dining. We have also put added new pool furniture with umbrellas. In addition to the new pool chairs, each unit is provided with pool lounger towels. We have added two(2) new units to the property. This we did since the 7 years we have bought the property. We have also added beach chairs and umbrellas and an igloo to EACH unit. We have put in new washer and dryer in the laundry room, along with a coin dispenser. These are just a few of the numerous changes that we have made since taking over. Re the crack in the stove, that has been there from before we took over, but it offers no real problem and the stove works. Re the blender, I am happy that that issue was resolved. I will, definitely , speak to the cleaner on the issue of the coffee mugs, as it is part of their responsibility to update the office when items go missing. With all the positive changes that we have made, I do not see neglect.Our prices are, comparatively, lower than the going rates in Grace Bay, for similar locations. and as such, we focus on the essential issues.
