This is a simple property (3 ☆), a short walk from the bus station. And for a tourist? 100 meters to Pula's spectacular Roman Amphitheater, and about the same in the opposite direction to the pedestrian zone of Old Town. If those characteristics suit you, then this is a great choice. The adjacent al fresco restaurant is a gem. I had the house made pasta with Istria ox. Slow-cooked. Literally, the best pasta dish I have had.

Excellent location, on edge of the old town area with many bars & restaurants. Only 1 minute walk to the amphitheatre. The airport shuttle bus stop is approx. 400 metres from the hotel. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Room was basic but comfortable & clean. Buffet breakfast included bacon, eggs & roasted vegetables, fruit, cereal, cold meats & cheeses.

Posizione ideale per un giro nel centro storico ,anfiteatro in pratica attaccato all albergo, camere e pulizia buone ,,ottimo ristorante con prezzi nella norma considerato il periodo e la posizione,parcheggio interno alla struttura.

Great hotel, great staff, wonderful people. Car parking right next to the property. Elevator right to the room. Great breakfast and staff. Great signage downtown to locate the property. Overall GREAT STAFF and staff. Only issue, I closed the window and the top window came crashing down on my head. It almost knocked me out. I told the staff at checkout and they were very apologetic and said it would be fixed. Other than that one issue, great location , great everything! ..... Dan

Friendly hotel
We had a lovely stay at the Amfiteater, its a small cosy hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was always fresh and had a good selection. The only downside was our room only had a velux window in the roof, so we had to go downstairs to see what the weather was like, as we were there for a week I feel that we should not have been put in a room with no window. But would stay there again.

Near Amphitheatre and Harbour
Like some others we had problems with the hot water when we arrived which seemed to affect everyone. We told reception and they got someone to investigate and the problem didn't come back for the rest of our stay. The room was comfortable and clean with modern décor and the aircon was essential in the hotter than normal summer. Others had said about the poor view from the economy rooms but there are trees between the hotel and the sea so it doesn't really make any difference which room you have for the view. The staff on reception were very helpful when suggesting places to see during our stay. The restaurant has a well known chef and the food was excellent and reasonably priced with a discount for hotel guests.

You don't get what you paid for!
I booked a supirior double room with the choice of a king size bed and a sea view at an extra cost per night and was given a tiny room (203) with a full size bed there was only one chair when the pictures show two. The bed was so uncomfortable I couldn't sleep the first night even though I was exhausted. My husband and I could feel the springs through the mattress which left us in pain. After my 1st night I brought up the room described in my booking itinerary and the receptionist insisted we had the right room since it was facing the ocean, also an issue with that given we couldn't see the ocean at all. We had the complimentary breakfasting once since the food was terrible. We requested extra pillows to sleep on top of since we couldn't find another hotel near by for that weekend which helped. I was upset at the fact that we paid extra for something we did not get and were not able to rest and relax which was the purpose of the vacation. On the bright side the staff were friendly and the room appeared clean.

This hotel was run by very helpful, engaged staff. It was a five minute drive from the airport and a few minutes walk to the ferry port. It was also a block away from the old part of town where one could see the ancient amphitheater and walk through the old streets with their charming restaurants and cafés. The room and lobby were pleasant, comfortable and clean and I had a perfectly good stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Fick inte bo på hotellet
Vi hade bokat ett tvåbäddsrum för en natt. När vi kom dit sa receptionisten att vi skulle bo i en lägenhet istället. Vi trodde den låg i angränsning till hotellet vilket den inte gjorde. Vi blev lotsade till en liten mörk lägenhet i gamla stan. Lägenheten låg i en smal gränd, vi fick parkera bilen en bit därifrån och dra väskorna på kullerstensgränderna. Helt ok att bo där för en natt men märkligt att de bara skickade oss vidare utan förklaring. Vi fick äta frukost på hotellet morgonen därpå men det var en bit att gå. Därefter släpa väskorna uppför kullerstensgränderna till bilparkeringen.

Only advantage is location
We booked superior double room with sea view, and what we got was the smallest room (can tell by a fire escape plan) with a tiniest round window. All we could see was a pigeon guard. I called the front desk and a receptionist said it's the same for any room. Service was also slow- expect to wait for 5 minutes or so even when no one is in front of you. The only advantage is location, which is ideal. Heart of the Old Town, close to a ferry to Venice.

Good location
We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was the restaurant The food was good but the menu limited and the same memu for both lu nch and dinner. Afyer a couple of meals there was nothing else that appealed to us so we are elsewhere.

Lights didn't work, bathroom door squeaked loudly, telephone didn't work, bed squeezed and uncomfortable, paid extra at booking for a king bed and didn't get a king.
