We stayed here for my son’s college graduation. The house has loads of charm and character and was conveniently located. It’s also very spacious and we really enjoyed the front porch. The owners thoughtfully provided white noise machines for all the rooms as the house is on the bus line. And the house has great privacy due to the owners use of glass frosting and blackout drapes. My main recommendation would be to have a little more provisions in terms of paper goods , replace some of the broken bar ware and possibly provide a blender ? And maybe some gliders under the chairs/ barstools. Overall highly recommend! And would definitely return.

We had a three day stay for a wedding in a nearby venue. House was great, very nicely decorated. Very convenient to the wedding venue as well as great local restaurants within 1-2 miles. House was as listed. Had a couple of minor issues, which were addressed very timely. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is convenient to downtown Raleigh. We requested extra linen during the first evening and the property manager was there in less than 30 minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

The property is just as pictured and it was the perfect fit for our blended family weekend with our N.C. State student. Would recommend and would certainly stay there again. Ps - can see the neighbor’s fluffy orange cat from the window and that was an added bonus.

We really enjoyed the time we spent here. The house has a spacious open living space. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable. It is obvious that the owners care and take pride in their home. Emily checked on us to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We will book again in the future.

We were there for four days over the holiday 12/25, because of my daughter’s wedding. The house is lovely! Rooms are big and kitchen is beautiful. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy family time. We took long walks in Historic Oakwood, which has the best holiday decorations and cute houses! The only thing needed would be some kitchen towels.

We could not rave about this house/location enough! The house is very spacious, beautiful kitchen and dining room space for a group of friends/family exploring the city. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay close to downtown but have plenty of room for guests to feel like they can relax and unwind after a busy day in downtown. I also loved how the home had plenty of cooking supplies for the kitchen and TVs in several rooms. The noise machines were also a crowd favorite!

Our adult children and grandkids were in town with us for a wedding. The house is conveniently located to the venue in downtown Raleigh. So many fun restaurants, shops and a children’s museum for the kids. The host was super easy to work with and the house is well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

The renovations were just enough to make this historic home both charming and modern. Home is mostly as advertised as it had some updates that weren't listed. We were pleasantly surprised by the barn door on the front room rather than just a curtain. The street parking was the least favorable aspect but didn't detract from the wonderdul experience inside the home. Would rent again for an adult gathering.

The photos online do not depict what the house looks like now. The images were taken years ago. The house is not handicapped accessible and the bedding is dated with no mattress pad. The toilet in the master suite did not work. The place is close to downtown and would be worth the walk. Parking is premium because there is no driveway to the house. The one thing I loved was how the crown molding was done. The house should have been pressure washed before renting it out. especially the porch. It would have been nice to come into a house that was fresh as soon as you opened the doors this house was not. We left a day earlier because I was not pleased with the place. I will not book it again.

Stayed at this adorable house for the weekend when down for my daughter's baby shower. Home was clean and exactly as depicted on the website. Property manager was very responsive to questions I had prior to arriving and answered them in a timely manner. House was close to town and perfect for my needs! Would highly recommend and stay there again in a heartbeat!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Green Book house in downtown Raleigh. The house is gorgeous with such tasteful decorations. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was spacious and the big center island was just perfect for this group of old college friends to stay up late chatting and catching up. The host left a comprehensive list of local restaurants and shops that we explored and all were fun. If ever in Raleigh again, this property will be our first choice for a place to stay! Thank you so much for opening your home to us!!!!!

This historic home is in a great location, only a short drive from everything we wanted to do. The house was spotlessly clean and beds comfortable. The only negative is that there were very few towels provided-one bath towel each, one hand towel per bathroom and no bath mat to step out on. Also, the pictures showed a much more “decorated” space. All in all, a great place to stay.

Upon arriving at the home, we were already very happy with our choice. The home is definitely historic and charming. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. The kitchen was nicely stocked with plenty of mugs for coffee/tea in the morning. We had ample towels and linens. The most important thing for our group was the comfort. We felt like we were guests in someone’s home. Highly recommend!
