Family Easter getaway

Great location
Overall was was ok. Pros-well equipped kitchen, plenty of space and location was great. Cons-needs a deep clean, porch was small for everyone to sit(smaller table would help).

Great value for the price.
I have been going to Rehoboth Beach for more than two decades. Rental prices have sky rocketed. This property is both affordable and close to the beach. It clearly has had its fair share of renters but is well maintained. This is my second stay.

Please do not print this -- it's just minor things that need to be fixed.
We enjoyed our stay there - but did have a few problems - 1. There were not enough forks for more than one meal and even less spoons. 2. The stove needs cleaning. We did not use it 3. The mattress cover in the back bedroom on the second floor has a stain on it. I saw directions to report that but couldn't find them when we were getting ready to leave. Did not need to communicate with the property manager.

Great for family or small group
The property is half of the front house with two other units in the back as well. The people next to us were friendly and had a few little kids with them, but we never hear the kids so the walls must be thick. The parking in back was so helpful for bringing our stuff in and out of the house. It is a quiet area with a short walk to shopping, beach, restaurants, etc. One problem we had was the listing stated that towels would be provided. They were not. The agent offered to reimburse us for the cost of buying towels, which was nice!

Nice house! Walking distance to everything!
Very nice property! No linen provided. I had a tough time getting linen ordered through Remax-3 calls with no call backs but I got it on the 4th call! There was no soap or toliet paper but luckily there is a general store close by. Lots of checkout guidelines. Overall, clean locations with cute decor and stocked kitchen.

Paper products and personal items are not supplied in our rental properties. There is really only a handful of our owners who do. Also linens are not supplied as noted as part of our information. South Rehoboth
Excellent location. Walkable to all restaurants, beaches, and entertainment. If you bring bikes Cape Henlopen Park is a 20min ride. House was very cozy and we had enough room for 5 people. Everything was as described. I would definitely return!

Great location on quiet street
Comfortable beds upstairs in the two bedrooms. The first floor bedroom titled master bedroom had a bathroom but just a single bed . It was no problem for us but just be aware. We did use one of the single bed on the third floor and that was adaquate. We love the location which is just a block from main shopping street but is a very quiet area. The house was dog friendly which was nice for us. I would recommend this sweet house for a stay in Rehoboth.

Sweet beach cottage
Perfect location for Rehoboth Avenue access. 4 bedrooms made it comfortable, as we each had our own room. Very clean. Good kitchen supplies. We enjoyed the screen porch. Would definitely rent again. We had some difficulty initially getting in, as the emailed directions for unlocking were wrong.

Thank you for your review. The property really is spacious, comfortable and clean. We try and make sure the kitchen is supplied the way we would want it to be. The screen porch is our favorite place to just hang out. We hope you will visit with us again in 2023!

Pet friendly house with all the basics, in a great location.
My family has stayed in this unit or the other half of the duplex for 4 years, so clearly we like the place, especially the great location near both the ocean and Rehoboth Ave. It has some nice features other rentals don't (screen porch so the doggies can catch the morning sun, decent tableware + cookware, nice big table for everyone to eat at, or crafts/puzzles worked on). It has some not-fixable downsides that our family is ok with (*really* steep stairs, 3rd floor access only via 2nd floor BR). But it needs some maintenance: the coffee pot water reserve had black mold (we bought a new one), the recliner in the LR is worn out, you'll get a back-ache sitting there, and the washer part of the combo-W/D was not working. Use the one in the garage, the owner says. But the same thing happened to us last year (other duplex half), and this year, we discovered that the garage W/D was already in use, so I suspect there are multiple W/D failures in this 4-unit property. I still like the place, but it needs a bit more upkeep.

We are incredibly sorry the house did not meet your expectations. We know the building is a traditional Rehoboth beach cottage with lots of unique quirks. As such, we make every effort to describe the configuration of the rooms and all of the amenities in the description of the unit in the listing. We have also priced the unit competitively, knowing the configuration is not ideal for all guests. Sorry again that your visit was not ideal, and thank you for staying with us.

Great location

Did the job
Served the main purpose - place to stay near the beach for 3 generations + dog. Property manager was easily reached by phone. Cleaning could have been more thorough (e.g. felt sand on the mattress cover, Dustbuster bin was full, oven mitts needed a wash). Some damage, (most signif was sagged/cracked ceiling in top floor) which I reported and have not been held responsible for (yet, to my knowledge). Kitchen was well equipped.

Location great, cleanliness not so great!
Let me start off by saying the house was a perfect distant from the beach and shops. It made it easy for our family to go back and forth without having to lug a lot of stuff around. The house was nice and has a lot of potential. The owner could give it some TLC to spruce up the place and make it better. The walls were cracked, the carpet smelled horrible especially in the third floor (attic) - had to be cat/dog urine. We checked in and the house was not cleaned. Floors were dirty, countertops/tables were dusty and bathroom floors were disgusting (loose hair everywhere). Due to having little kids under two, we had no choice but to clean the house ourselves as I did not want them to play in filth. The beds were not comfortable, very loud and creaky. Bathrooms were very tight. We didn’t realize that the house was split into two rentals. We could hear people on the other side going up and down the stairs. At night was worst with kids running and down the stairs, hard to sleep. The house is old, so it’s given that everything will creek. We just didn’t expect all of this. Then, the washer didn’t work. It’s connected to the dryer, which worked. So we couldn’t do the laundry as we only brought a certain amount of clothes knowing we could wash them while there. As much as we tried to give this place a chance, things just kept popping up. It was a disappointing stay to say the least.

Our home is an older duplex in downtown Rehoboth Beach and we do allow pets. Our property has had a lot of visitors this summer season, and we do plan on doing some maintenance in the off season when thing settle down a bit. We hope that you will give us another try if you visit Rehoboth again.

It's hard to go wrong at the beach!
This was a clean, basic place to stay. The overall stay was great. My only complaints were that the outdoor shower had no privacy so it was kind of pointless. And, there is no outdoor grill and not really any outdoor space. Having the beach cart and chairs provided, as well as a street parking permit, was really nice. Overall we had so much fun and always love Rehobeth. Thanks!

Decent place and good location
The house was clean and had everything we needed. I would suggest the sofas be changed. They are stained and have seen better days. One thing to note is that to get to the third bedroom on the top floor you must go through one of the bedrooms. Not much privacy. Everything else was fine.

Great Rehobeth Beach Property Right in Town!
We visited the property for a weekend after growing up going to Rehobeth. It's a great property for a group of friends-- affordable, plenty of beds and right in town. For friends-- the upstairs bedroom with three twin beds is connected to a double bed room and you have to go through the double bed room to get to the bathroom. Only thing to keep in mind !:) We totally enjoyed our stay and would return again!

This is a great location. Accommodations are nice. The only thing that would help is a little more generosity in the supplies. There could be a little dish soap. Or maybe a sponge or two. Remax was great at communicating. The other thing is, I thought this was Vacation Rentals By OWNER, which it’s not anymore. There are too many extra fees. Won’t be using VRBO anymore.

Short beach getaway
My family and I decided to get away and meet up at Rehoboth for 3 nights. We came in from Georgia, Virginia, and New York, and really enjoyed the ability to meet up and reunite since COVID. The pros we had for our stay are: location to beach, communication time and availability from the host, and the usual rental accommodations (kitchen appliances, living room space, # beds/rooms, etc). The cons to our visit/rental were: construction was happening behind our rental and we could not park in the driveway (however there was plenty of street parking due to off season), slow shower drain and slow sink drain, front porch needs TLC (hole in screen and weak floor), and inside the home we did find a few spots that needed minor cleaning. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and leave remarks to help the host better future reservations. We would recommend this rental and would most certainly stay again. Thanks!

The mattresses were extremely hard and upstairs shower did not drain well.
Kitchen was fantastic and very well stocked with cookware and utensils, if you like to clam at the house. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and steps very steep. Great location.

Super convenient to Rehoboth Avenue and beach. Great neighborhood for walking our dog. Only drawback was the staircase to the second floor, which is pretty steep. We appreciated the first floor bathroom and bedroom.

Enjoyable off-season stay
Our family of four spent about a week in February in this house, located just a few blocks from the ocean. The neighborhood is lovely and just a block or two from many restaurants and amenities--very walkable. The house, which is half of a larger house that was split, was comfortable for our family of four. The kitchen served us well for the meals we cooked. When we had an issue with the washer not working, the property manager and owner sprang into action promptly and worked out a solution for us, and we greatly appreciated their attention to the matter. The house, particularly some of the bedroom areas, could use some TLC. I'll note that though beds are indeed available for 8, the common space on the first floor would be quite cramped for a group that size. Lastly, the owner requires a supplemental damage policy be purchased and would not accept a renter's current home insurance policy in lieu of purchasing the additional coverage.

Exceeded expectations
My first time renting a house. Tired of dingy hotel rooms. This house was great! It was very clean and easy to access. We enjoyed how close it was to the main drag and beach. Only downfalls-parking in back wouldn’t work for us since we have a truck & access is not big enough. In summer, this would be a concern for me. We stayed in off-season so not a problem. Also, we heard neighbors in other half of the house a lot. Heard them walking upstairs and talking. It wasn’t a huge deal, but if we heard them...what were they hearing from us? When I booked, I thought it was for the whole house and we could park in the driveway. That was a poor assumption on my part. Overall, it was a great experience!! We would definitely stay here again, we had everything we needed. Thank you for having such a nice property and allowing us to bring our furry friends!

Updated, clean and comfortable
Even in a pandemic, the beach is still the beach. This was our first stay in this particular unit (though we have stayed on the property under former owners). My husband and I really like the old Rehoboth beach houses that have been updated with new kitchens and baths. This house was immaculately clean with a new kitchen and updated bathrooms. There was new hardwood flooring throughout the downstairs and it was nicely furnished. All in all, it made for a very comfortable combination - updated features with old beach house charm. The location works well. While it isn't in the first two blocks from the beach, it is easily walkable to the beach. It is also easily accessible to the downtown and the boardwalk. We parked our car upon arrival and didn't move it until we left. We really appreciate properties that are dog-friendly -- and again, this unit worked very well. We would happily stay here again.

Fun rental
We loved the location and the space this rental provided. It is pet friendly which we knew in advance. Our only concern was the sheets and blankets provided were covered in black hair.(assume dog hair) Our husbands were arriving the next day so they brought bedding with them. That being said- we loved the place and would return.

Thank you for staying with us and glad that you enjoyed the house. Dealing with a pet friendly house is always challenging and we have been working hard to reduce pet hair between guests. Family Time
My husband and I (from SC) rented this charming duplex to spend time with family (1 from MD and 2 from PA). It was great. The rental was clean and included all we needed. Check in and out was simple. We cooked breakfast most mornings and didn’t lack for any kitchen items. There were extra blankets (which I appreciated) and enough towels for everyone. The neighborhood was quite and the walk to the beach was easy. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent this again.
