We stayed here for a 4 day weekend retreat. It was absolutely lovely.
The house has a ton of antique charm. It's to be expected that some parts aren't like modern day amenities, and it was SO fantastic to get away from everything.
Very reliable wifi, easy to use thermostat (and AC that blows so fantastically cold, you'll forget it's summer time.)
The hot tub was so much fun, the kitchen was excellent for cooking our meals, and the living room was cozy and comfy.
Our favourite part was how central the house is to everything around it.
The bakery (Jubilee Bakeshop) is right around the corner, maybe a two minute walk. The ice cream shop is a three minute walk away, and the grocery store and LCBO are right next door.
The water isn't really swimmable due to the nearby dam, but the kayaks were a nice amenity. Our service dog did go for a swim, and I tried to catch fish with my hands. (Guess who was successful, and who got nibbled on my cute fish?)
We've all agree that we'd love to go back at some point. It's such a lovely peaceful place, and Michael was a fantastic host.
