The location of this place is heavenly! The view from the house/deck is breathtaking. From previous reviews and descriptions, there used to be a path directly to the beach. However, that path has been washed away with recent storms, so it's a good 8-10 ft drop off the bluff now. There is another public path 1/2 a block up the road though, so not a big deal. We took chairs out and sat on the bluff for sunset - which was amazing every day we were there.
Upon arrival, the house looked clean - the kitchen and bathrooms were all surface clean and well stocked. After settling in, however, it became evident that the place could use a deep cleaning. There are lots of spider & cob webs around the light fixtures, under/behind the TV stand, in the rafters, etc. The carpets have a lot of stains, although the house did not smell bad at all. (Assuming some of those stains are pet stains, being a pet friendly place.)
We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner and found the kitchen to be very well stocked. I hauled a lot of unnecessary utensils/bowls/pans to be sure I had everything I needed, but never had to use my own because they had it all. Good to know for future visits!
Overall, this place is perfect for a large group or family. (8 people max). Lots of room to spread out, play games, relax, etc. The window seats in the living room are great! I loved sitting in the sun coming through the windows after a chilly walk on the beach in the mornings.
We will be back!
