We loved the river house so much we are already planning coming back! Our family of 8 had so much room to enjoy! Our kids loved everything Linda and Don provided on the property to make the stay extra special! We made so many fun memories thank you to our host for providing such a great place to stay!

This home was booked many months ago for a surprise birthday party for my mother in law! The kids came in from NC and IL. this home perfectly accommodated all of us! We rode down the river in tubes from the dollar store and Walmart! We cooked every day! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the grill is so nice! We chipped golf balls, sang karaoke, played basketball, threw football, played in the river, and enjoy nights under the twinkle lights on the back porch area. This location is 4 minutes from a grocery store, gas station, dollar store, everything you need! This was a perfect stay! The beds were amazing! There were enough towels for the guests that we had with some left over! The host was so quick to get in touch we me with any needs we had! Oh yeah, and the games… there is a huge selection! We brought some from home, but they already had them all! It was such an incredible stay!! Thank you so much!! We can’t wait to come back

We had a fantastic stay at The River House!The ease of access to the White Pine trail was phenomenal. We used it every day.The location is great. We had lots of quick trips to downtown Rockford and some larger outings into Grand Rapids as well. Highly recommend for folks looking to explore the West side.The property itself was also great with a beautiful river view, well stocked kitchen supplies, and games

Charming house. Plenty of space. We loved the game table. I would say i was disappointed in the cleanliness of the space. I wonder if we were maybe the 1st ppl for the season?? It smelled of mildew badly. The linens also smelled of mildew. The kitchen had crumbs and residue near the bar area and the stove.

Great place to gather with family! Kids had a blast in the game room basement, playing on the tire swing. The home was well appointed, flawlessly clean. Great communication with the host.

We celebrated our daughters wedding at Whippoorwill Farm and this was perfect distance and accommodated our whole family to stay together and plan last min details get ready together and recap the next morning before heading home we didnt get to enjoy the beautiful river as our schedule was jam packed but it was a beautiful view to see sunday morning as we were packing up

Absolutely loved my stay here! It was so peaceful. Rockford itself is super quaint as well. The house was spacious and well equipped as well as being situated on a fantastic piece of property. So close to Grand Rapids yet felt like a true getaway. I will definitely go back!

We again had a very enjoyable stay at Riverhouse - located just north of Rockford, MI. They have a very cozy house, situated on a very large lot on the Rouge River. Linda has taken very good care of us - especially as our travel plans changed a bit - both times. While most houses we rent are larger, we have managed very well and felt very comfortable.

We had 6 adults and 2 kids under 2 and this was the perfect size/space to relax and enjoy the area. Downtown Rockford is a cute town and you are not too far from nearby attractions. The nature trails and river activities were great. The house had everything we needed including a high chair and baby monitor and even a wagon. Our family loved it! I highly recommend. Out host was a great communicator and was greatly appreciated.

Really great stay. The house is wonderful inside, and it's a large property and perfect for evening bon fires. The river was great to sit by on the deck, if you go in it's rocky so bring water shoes. Communication and check in/out were super easy. Definitely recommend!

The property is close enough to where we needed to be for a graduation party and family reunion, close enough to go in any direction to find food and drink, and the property itself has so much to explore in the house and on the grounds. We have already reserved a spot for next year.

We were three couples spending the weekend in town for a family wedding. There was more room here than we needed, with plenty of seating both for dining and leisure indoors and out, a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of kitchen and bathroom towels, etc. The back yard is idyllic with fly fishers and kayakers in the river everyday. A true home away from home. Excellent host response.

Our group was four friends from a TU chapter in the Chicago area, coming to the area to do a conservation project near Freeport. We stayed at the house to fish the Rogue River over the weekend. The house was perfect for our group.

We really enjoyed our stay at Linda's river house. The house itself was very clean and a had a beautiful view of the river running behind the house. We came up for a weekend of golf and there was no shortage of great courses nearby. Linda was a very accommodating host and had several suggestions for food in the Rockford area. We really enjoyed the small town atmosphere and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away.
