The shops much tackier and touristy than they were when I last visited 15 years ago. The ambience and architecture still intact with several buskers up and down the street. Royal street all the way downriver to the Industrial Canal into Bywater was fun to walk. I couldn’t stop gawking at all the interesting homes along Royal Street.
Cafe Beignet is OKAY but stick to Cafe DuMonde for the beignets
Very nice street in the Quarter. Smells better. And nice restaurants and nicer bars that aren't as crowded.
Great street for art gallerys and shopping
Had dinner at Café Amelia. Great food. Again, somewhat cold or what I would call rude.
