Esta muy caro para las instalaciones, viejas de película de terror ; sin embargo cobran lo mismo que un hotel de primera en gaslamp u otra zona premium no lo volveré a rentar.

Llegamos tarde para hacer check in y no había nadie, ni guardia de seguridad, estuvimos esperando por las de 30 minutos y tuvimos que entrar a la oficina, estuve haciendo llamadas y no contestaban ni en seguridad , después de mucho tiempo nos dimos cuenta que la llaves estaban sobre el counter de la oficina, las tomamos y pudimos entrar a las habitaciones.

This is an older property, but I found it very clean and well cared for. They clean the room daily which I love. Very spacious too. Water pipes were loud and the bathroom door was hard to close. Being a golf course there is very early morning noise. Overall I would recommend this lodge

Check in was easy. I called beforehand to ask if we could check in early due to an event we were going to and did not want to leave our luggage in our car. The nice gentleman at the front desk checked the status of rooms and let us check in early. The room was clean and had no issues.

Tyler was very helpful. He put my mother and me in a handicapped room without our having to ask for it. He also changed the registration so I could sign for the room. He was friendly.

Not just for golfing
This is not our first time using this hotel, and we would not stay anywhere else. It is quiet, with quaint rooms. The staff are wonderful. Housekeepers are amazing, and do a great job. The grounds are lovely, sunrises are breathtaking. Will stay here any time we are in town.

Slow service in cafe, but food was good. Office not open till 11 am. Staff was very friendly. Grounds are well kept. Quiet. Overall very nice stay. A little expensive.

At first glance, I was a bit hesitant to book a room here since it was located in a small golf resort (we are not golfers). However, when we arrived, we found a super clean and comfortable room. Our room was located in the bungalow-style units (not the 2-story lodge) that are located at the edge of the parking lot, away from the main resort complex. Our unit was peaceful with a nice grassy area outside. Comfy bed, warm shower and basic amenities. It’s not a fancy place and it’s a bit dated, but a very pleasant place to stay. We would definitely stay at the Carlton Oaks again.

Nice place, clean.
Check in was painless, was even able to get our room earlier. Nice. Its an older property but kept up. Was expecting breakfast but only served on the weekends. Not sure if that applies to lunch or dinner as we did not stay for those. It was close proximity to the concert we attended thst was a plus. Our one night was peaceful and would think about returning if in the area....

Don't bother this place sucks!
My stay was terrible. The pictures are not what they seem. I was expecting a updated beautiful room. It was old and has not been updated in a while. I had a hole in the my bed sheets. I was supposed to get a view of the golf course and I got a view of the parking lot. The pictures make it look so luxurious. Also they charged me for 2 nights so I have to call them to credit me. This place sucks!!!

We do have a room deposit that will be released back onto your card, 3-5 business days after check out depending on your banking institution. -Lodge Management

Our stay at this hotel was okay at best. It looked nothing like the photos. We were excited for the pool and hot tub but when we arrived the water was low and the hot tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was also no lights around it at night even though in the photos there were. This location is on a golf course which in the photos looked super green and pretty but when we actually went it was all dirt and dry. We also thought we’d see the water from out room again wrong our view was just dirt. AC worked but was super loud. Tub in the room drained super slow. Beds were also super uncomfortable.

I read prior ratings that indicated negative items, the hotel is old as indicated but has large rooms, clean and staff helped professionally. Parking is great, style of hotel is from the 50's or 60's but it served its purpose.

It wasn’t a bad hotel it was pretty clean but it’s very old . The beds are pretty small. The pool was great and the whole check in was good as well not bad for a quick stay no more than that

Mildly Dated and there's an 11/day resort fee that I didn't know about until after I booked a non refundable stay(my fault for not checking) but as its one of only two hotels in Santee not a lot of choice as the other is on a busy road.

Omgosh, this place was terrible. Room was very dark, holes in the lampshade, may have been from the little moth hanging out on the ceiling! Bathroom area reeked of urine. Then in the morning we noticed what looked like blood on the outside of the box springs. (Both beds)That would be an easy fix, put bed skirts on! I would not stay there again. It cost us $253 for 1 night!

We had a wonderful stay. It is old but very nice, nicks here and there. The bed was great and comfy. I don't understand some of the reviews complaining about the things they do. Clean, quiet, and comfy. We will stay again.
