Our family of five adults had a wonderful 3-night stay in mid-Oct. We agree 500% with another reviewer that we don't want to give too good of a review so we can keep this place for ourselves ;) The drive to the home can be a lot for those who get carsick - long stretches of windy roads, but that's why there's an airstrip within walking distance! The bedrooms all have multiple big windows with amazing views of the ocean and each floor has it's own balcony/patio. The top floor (family, dining, and kitchen rooms) is basically just glorious windows with an entry to the balcony. We loved cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen w huge fridge and great-working appliances. A forewarning for others - cooking may set off the smoke detectors even with the hood fan running, so open windows beforehand. We had so much fun watching the waves, sunset, sunrise, colors, and moonlight (glorious full moon when we were there). We also got to see Comet Tsuchinshan–ATLAS shortly after sunset right from the balcony! We walked down to the rocks right off the patio, watching tides go up and down and sea creatures wash up. Wildlife galore - deer and foxes roaming around, sea lions down the street by the lighthouse, birds of all kinds. We walked and explored the Black Sand Beach, had yummy pizza from the recommended restaurant. One of the best features really was the steam shower, and comfortable beds throughout the house. I'm planning a vacation just to come back here after this unbelievably great stay!!
