Fabulous Views
As a tired tax accountant I chose this property as my vacation spanning the US income tax deadline to try to forget the stress that I experienced over the last 40 years at this time of the year. The property did not disappoint. The house was exceptional and the views stunning. We will definitely consider coming back.

Glorious Retreat
Perfect in most every way, it was hard not bringing the whole family with us. But this time it was just the wife and I above the beautiful choppy Puget Sound. The main sectional sofa was the only minor complaint. The cushions slide everywhere making lounging in it difficult. Will come again!

Stunning Home!
As the other reviews say, the photos don't do this beautiful home justice. The kitchen is well equipped, with great appliances. The beds are comfortable. A treat - we saw two bald eagles from the back patio! One negative: the couch is not very comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful
We LOVED this property. In fact we found ourselves reluctant to venture out much during our stay. We spent a lot of time enjoying the deck off the master bedroom which was so peaceful at night. The view is just gorgeous! The garden is so peaceful and pretty. We took the ferry one day into Seattle and had a great time at the museum of pop culture. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was perfect and we would love to visit again and stay a full week next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Amazing place for a honeymoon
We went here for a week on our honeymoon. The place was very clean upon arrival. The house has everything you’ll need except for tv you have to have your own subscriptions which kinda bites. The views definitely make up for it though.

Amazing Views!
Our favorite thing about the house was the views. The house had beautiful views of the water and we enjoyed watching the boats go by. We saw Mount Rainier every day. We even cut some of our activities short to come back to the house (which was wonderful) and play games or eat dinner on the terrace. We traveled with our grown children and everyone had their own space. The primary bedroom was especially nice. Check in was easy.

It’s a gorgeous home with incredible views and comfortable beds. Lacking some attention to detail that would make it a 10. As if it was an unfinished thought.. maybe it’s a new rental. There are not enough glasses of any one kind to make a set of 4 let alone 6 and the griddle didn’t work or at least there were no instructions/ manual on how to use the house. The couch/ living room seating is plain terrible and there was not enough toilet paper to last 4 days…and not enough hot water to fill the tub upstairs. A couple of safety concerns. A breaker would pop anytime we used the fireplace in the living room and the smoke alarm in the upstairs master had been removed. Both lamps in the master bedroom upstairs were broken and we chose not to use them due to fire concerns. With a little TLC and a few final touches this could be incredible!

No Ferry needed do get to paradise!
We stayed here for five days after a couple weeks in Hawaii with family. It was a nice break before returning home to Michigan. The house is beautiful. Every convenience you need is there. We got lucky and had perfect 90° sunny weather. There's a path you can take to walk down to a private beach. It's steep but it's a good workout. From the house you can see the ferry, which is only about 1000 yards away but you can also drive around to get back to Seattle. The views are stunning. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

I have stayed at many different rentals and this one was by far the best! The views were stunning, wildlife everywhere. Great house if you are traveling with kids- path right down to the beach. House was stocked with all the essentials. Will be back!

We had a lovely stay at this property -- nice to just hang out at the house and look out at the view, watch the ferries go by. Great location for exploring nearby attractions / state parks, we went to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium with our three-year-old son, easy drive down there. Nice beach access via a path out the backyard. A great home for families to stay, separation with the master suite upstairs. Spacious kitchen / living area. Extremely easy access to the ferry, but still feels very private.

Stunning place!
10/10 recommend this place and we definitely want to come back again!! Everything about this house was amazing, hard to know where to start! As a first timer to the state of Washington the view from the house was insane, from beautiful Pudget Sound to Mt. Ranier to downtown Seattle! I didn’t realize there was mountains all around and we could see Mt. Ranier, Mt. Baker, and the Olympus all from the top deck on a clear day…so in love! The hike down to the beach was steep, but really fun and that’s where you get the view to downtown Seattle and can see the space needle!! We loved watching the ferries cross, especially at night with all the pretty lights across the water. Ferry access was so easy, and a quick 30-40 min to Seattle. We ate dinner in Gig Harbor which was also beautiful, totally recommend El Pueblito, Tide’s Tavern, and Hops and Drops to eat. We did a little hike in Banner Forest which was only a few minutes away from the house and it was beyond beautiful, wish we could’ve stayed there longer!! The room upstairs has the most amazing views, coziest fireplace, and gorgeous bathroom. The loft area was perfect for my daughter. The kitchen and living room with the wide open doors/wall was to die for! All in all…this home in Southworth stole my heart and I cannot wait to come back :) Also management was great, very attentive, and had zero issues!

Gorgeous view and garden
We had a great stay. The garden and view are awesome. So many humming birds. If you appreciate a beautiful garden, you will love this property. We used the steep hill to get to the beach to paddle board. Beach was ok, but hill is a trek. Access to the ferry was wonderful. We too the passenger ferry to Seattle to shop and have dinner. It’s a short 25 minute ride. The home is beautiful with a view from almost every room. Hope to return.

A wonderful 80th Birthday
We were disappointed that our original reservation was for 4 nights but serendipity, 3 nights were fine. The property is the entertainment and it is gorgeous and there are no fine dining restaurants so since there are 2 chefs in the family, we cooked! One problem. I did not know vacasa.They are good but we thought we were booking with VRBO, not a property manager. Second, your or their check in time is too hotel as is checkout. 4pm c/in is a day wasted! 10AM c/out also stupid. A Vrbo experience is not a hotel stay. Lastly, the DCS range was nearly non functional, top burners, small oven on bake only or the thing shut down . New renters coming in tomorrow! Going to be VERY unhappy. Plus get some propane in! They will need it because the range oven is useless. And it is internal so the owner or whoever needs to do something ASAP. Small complaint. Not a single hair dryer in place. Very unusual and not expected.

Vacasa's management & cleanliness is poor
I booked this property through VRBO, but it's managed by Vacasa so the review reflects Vacasa's management: The day I checked in, I emailed Vacasa about the oven not being operational. The next day I called, but gave up being on hold for an extended period of time and emailed again on the 14th. I didn't get a reply from Vacasa until the 15th - that's two days after checking in. That day I heard from the local person about the oven not being able to be serviced until after we checked out. I also had issues with the cleanliness. I sent them pictures of the dirty washcloths I used to clean the master bathroom floor - showing that it clearly hadn't been mopped for weeks. I also have pictures of mildew in the master shower and dust bunnies on the floor. There were pee drips down all of the fronts of the toilets. The local person said I would receive an amenities credit for the oven not working and the sub-par cleaning job. I haven't heard from Vacasa about any kind of a credit. If you are the owner of this property I'd seriously consider replacing your management company. Outside of these issues, the property has an amazing location and view and is very well appointed and comfortable!

Beautiful home and amazing views BUT!!
We stayed in the home in May 2021 and liked it so much we booked it again for this year in May. The home and views are amazing but Vacasa...not so much. Much of the kitchen cookware is burned and dirty and not fit to use. There is no live TV in this home. Only streaming thru a Roku TV so hope you like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The kitchen smelled of rotten fish the entire time we were there. Past guest must have let fish rot in the fridge and then tossed it into the enclosed trash bin under the kitchen island. We could not get the smell out of the fridge or the kitchen. There is a very small 2 cup coffee maker like you find at Comfort Inns so you may want to bring your own. Only one dish towel for the kitchen. There was no power in the upstairs area until we found the breaker box and reset the circuit breaker for upstairs. The front yard was beautiful and unique last May but has been severely cut back. It is hard to not give this home 5 stars as the home and views are wonderful. Vacasa is not attentive to details and a home of this price point deserves much better. By the way, no king bed in the upstairs Master Suite. Only a queen and not due to lack of space. Good luck contacting Vacasa. It states they respond in one hour...try 5 days and no response. Very poor management

Love this house!
My husband and I stayed here with another couple for a 3-night getaway. The home is lovely, open with views that are incredible. The sliding glass doors that open so widely were nice and it was just warm enough to have them open a bit in the afternoons. The layout is perfect for couples with 2 bedrooms on the main level with one of the bedrooms having a separate vanity connected to a full bathroom (other bedroom is across the hall). Then a lovely and large bedroom upstairs with bathroom. Also a big deck upstairs (with more killer views) but we spent more time on the main floor patio (which is covered). The walk down to the beach area is a bit steep, but we were ok with it (we're early to mid-60's), just winded on the trip back up. On the 3 trips we made to the beach, we were the only ones there. It's a lovely area, sandy and lots of driftwood to sit on and watch the Southworth ferries come and go. I would have given 4-1/2 stars if possible just for the fact that we found some kitchen cooking items to be lacking. Most pans were heavily stained and the toaster looked ancient and not so clean. These seem like inexpensive items to replace. Luckily there was foil to use. We pretty much cooked all of our meals there and found everything we needed to do so. Overall we loved it and would stay again.

Beautiful home with amazing views
We truly enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable home with spectacular views. So easy to relax and unwind and just watch nature through the windows or from one of the outdoor areas. Eagles, Osprey, Seals, Deer, and we kept an eye out for any whales that might be going by. Beautiful morning sunrises to wake up to and start your day off with a smile.

Relaxing getaway
The property is spectacularly placed. The views are dreamy. The whole house is amazing, well equipped and so modern. That said the checkin process with vacasa was disappointing. After this experience, As a way of being proactive I suggest you always contact vacasa a couple of days prior to your official checkin date to make sure they have your correct reservation details and if there are issues you can sort them before hand.

Cool house, not a great experience
House is large, expansive, well appointed, deck has a killer view, etc. Large for us but that was known. Incredibly close to the ferry. Checkin was delayed by 3 hours (more was hinted at) a few hours before checkin. Kind of a problem if you're trying to keep dogs occupied. Notification was from cleaner? through Vacasa. I texted that address a bit before the new deadline to find it was already ready. A few minutes later i received a text indicating that the door key was 'problematic'. When we arrived, I was unable to open the door using the key from the lockbox. Called Vacasa who called *someone*. Never got the promised call back, never heard from those folks. The cleaner? responded a bit later and suggested jiggling the key *A lot*. That did work. There was never any follow up from Vacasa/owner re: key/lock. We were never able to use the door lock reliably and ended up leaving it unlocked. This whole mess was disruptive to the first day of our short trip. There was a general absence of a 'house manual' with the only manual being some boilerplate content on the Vacasa site eg. could you visit the implied private beach, etc. WiFI didn't work which turned out to be a blown breaker affecting the downstairs bedrooms -- fixed by a handyman who was measuring something the next day. Again, really cool house, nice view but some logistics need to be fixed.

Epic view and nicely appointed spacious house. The path to the beach is right off the house and is only a 3 minute walk down the bluff. Gorgeous landscaping and nice communal deck area to visit outside with family and friends. House was clean, minus some drawers and cupboards that could have used a good cleaning. Kitchen is huge and great for cooking with almost everything you need. (Super unorganized so a bit of a hunting game, but most things are there.) overall we loved our stay and would definitely go back.

Beautiful property with private beach access
The house was really lovely with amazing views - call dibs on the upstairs master suite if you can. The access to the beach is a bit of a steep-ish climb, but we were able to, slowly, get our SUP and kayak down there. Only complaint is that there was no “welcome” info about the house when you get there - for WiFi password, garbage/ recycling info, any other house info. I had to reach out for questions which seemed unnecessary. Anyway, it was 6 family members from 13 - 80 yo plus a puppy and we had a great time!

The house was beautiful and in a great location. The only complaint we had was the floors were really dirty(literally leaving the bottom of our feet filthy) if they stepped up their cleaning, I would defiantly give it a 5.

Spring Break
This was my second stay at the property. The first was for a girls weekend. The views from the house, proximity to beach and town are also great. It's also close driving distance to Manchester State Park which was fun to walk around. The house is beautiful. The reason for the four stars was due to the need to clean the kitchen a bit and wash dishes that were already in the dishwasher.

Great house, disappointing company
Our contract stated that check in was at 4 pm. At 2pm we got a phone calling saying that the house would not be cleaned and ready until 6. My husband spent 45 minutes on the phone with Vacasa, turns out that they bumped our check in back because the previous guest left their iPad at the house and was returning to retrieve it; this was unacceptable. We were already on the way and made a stop to see family, which my husband missed because he was on the phone with Vacasa. They offered dining credits as compensation for the lost time...which we have yet to see. While he was on the phone with Vacasa, I got 3 emails stating the house would be ready by 4...which it was not. We asked for late checkout and they said it was against policy...perhaps if I had just told them I left something in the house we would have been allowed to stay. The rug in the living room is made of twine and sheds, the fibers were all over our feet, all over the house, and all over the couches. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and squeak every time you move. The view is amazing and the beach access was great.

Great house, management needs work
Everything everyone else has said is accurate. The house is gorgeous, the location is fabulous, but the management of the house is slightly disappointing for how many people have left the same reviews. Not enough paper towels, toilet paper (there wasn’t even a fresh roll in the master bathroom), coffee maker but no coffee or tea (a few packets were left by others who stayed obviously), the instant hot water tap in the kitchen doesn’t work, and the batteries in the remote for the fireplace upstairs were dead. Small things that need to be checked for everyone to have a comfortable that go a long way when they are done correctly and unfortunately are a pain when they are overlooked.

Excellent getaway
A stunning property that met all our needs. Some reviewers have had issues with cleanliness....I can say for us it definitely was CLEAN! If 1 or 2 dust bunnies (there were a couple) freak you out then, find a tiny hotel room that isn’t set on a gorgeous coastline. this is a really big house and cleanliness was too notch. Kitchen well stocked. Would love a hot tub at this property it’s perfectly set up for one. Overall a thoroughly excellent property and great stay

Great view and relaxing stay
We went here to get away from Seattle for the weekend and celebrate our 7 year olds birthday. It was perfect! We walked to the beach multiple times a day and really enjoyed waking up to such a picture perfect view. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and supplies. The only small thing was the kitchen pans are pretty run down and knives are definitely not sharp. If you are cooking a lot, you might want to bring some of your own pans and knives. We had such a nice stay, that we have already booked another stay in June.

Incredible getaway
Convenient location right off the Ferry. Views are incredible and the property is spacious. The layout is conducive to relaxing and not feeling like you are cramped, on top pf each other, or limited with regard to your ability to spread out and breathe. The home is tastefully decorated and the kitchen fully stocked. There are no king beds, so adjust your expectations prior. Check-in is easy as can be. We'll be back!

Girls Weekend
Great location - very close to the ferry and good access to town and State Parks. Beautiful view from the house and lots of room to spread out and have privacy. One of our party was very excited to have a giant tub to soak in. We left the house relaxed and happy.

The place was gorgeous! The views and location can not be beat! But there were some small issues—the coffee machine did not work, the dishwasher did not work, and the sheets were not washed (one set of bedsheets smelled and the other bed had an eyelash extension stuck to it).

Beautiful spacious house at a great location. We loved that the beach is a short walk down a private path from the yard. The landscaping is beautiful and views are amazing from all corners of the house. Also a stones throw away from the ferry so you can maximize your time here. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home with spectacular views
This home is beautiful. Well laid out for a comfortable stay. I most enjoyed the beautiful landscaping that brought in the birds and bees as we enjoyed the view. The amenities were lacking. Luckily we live close because we had to go home to get toilet paper, paper towels, dish rags, body soap and counter cleaner. The dishwasher was still broken. I saw posts from June that it was not working and assumed it would be fixed. As beautiful as the home was the cleanliness was horrible. The floors were in desperate need of mopping (our socks were filthy after walking around the main floor), the kitchen counters and sink were dirty, there was garbage in the bathroom garbage cans from the previous people, and we found garbage under beds and behind the sofa. We were fortunate to have wonderful weather because the living room furniture was not comfortable and the cushions kept slipping off. For as nice as the home is the linens and pillows for the beds left much to be desired. A few small upgrades and hiring of a professional cleaner would go a long way to make this beautiful home more comfortable to stay in.
