Nice home
Overall the house was nice. You can tell they are making improvements. We were here for a horse show all weekend. Was nice to walk into a house instead of a hotel made it feel like being home and not cramped in a small room at a hotel. Area the hose is located is nice and quiet. I would for sure rent this again if needed.

This was our 1st time using Vrbo. My wife is from the area and we travel to Ohio every year for a Celebration of life for our sons who have passed. We were happy to be able to stay in an actual home in a quite neighborhood. The house gave us everything that we needed and the property owner was very prompt with answers to all our questions. We would stay here again

Great stay
Property was great! Neighborhood was very quiet. The property wasn’t ready around 4 like it says in description. The locking system owner uses gave us trouble all weekend. The screen kept not showing up so we couldn’t input the code. I’m be suggestion would be landscaping and lawn upkeep in the backyard. Lots of overgrowth and the lawn definitely needed to be mowed. Otherwise we were happy with our stay.

Springfield historical home
Beautiful historical home and neighborhood. Owner has done a wonderful job restoring home. Bathroom updated and cozy, as appropriate for homes time period. Lots of room for guests. King Ben was very comfortable. Definitely worth staying at if you appreciate history.

Great Cozy house
We were visiting from Eastern Pennsylvania and needed a place for my family to stay. This house was perfect. It had everything for our family of five and was located in a great neighborhood, with easy accessibility to major highways. It was very clean and spacious.

Great location, no frills place
We had a great time at this house. My husband and I took our son (13 y/o) and our nephew (also 13 y/o) to stay in Springfield so they could try their hand at fly fishing on the Mad river. The house was in a great location to get to restaurants and stores, without being on a Main Street. It looks like they are trying to update the space: the bathroom was remodeled, and the linens were all clean and fresh. The couch is a little old and worn, and the furniture needed some TLC. The kitchen lacked some basics (like a spatula and hand soap) but that wasn’t anything a quick trip to Family Dollar couldn’t fix! 😊 The appliances all worked well, and the AC was awesome after a long hot day on the water! The washer and dryer are in the basement, and also were super helpful with wet swim trunks and beach towels needing washed everyday. The owner was the MOST communicative I have ever worked with on VRBO! We messaged back and forth several times, and he really wanted to make sure our stay went well. He even recommended a spot behind Chuck E Cheese for fly fishing! Overall, this is a great diamond in the rough, and I would recommend this property for a family looking to explore Springfield and have a safe place to lay their heads at night.

What you see is not what you get
The outside of the house did not match the inside. There were a couple safety hazards - a hole in the floor in the kitchen, and 2 wall outlets with no face plate covers. The microwave, fridge, and stove were all filthy. They looked like they had never been cleaned, ever. Not the same dining room table as in the pictures. Was replaced with a set that looked like it came from the city dump. Dirty floor rugs left on top of the table. No curtains on the windows downstairs. A gross well-used bean bag in the corner of the living room. Couldn't even be bothered to have regular, local channel tv, which is free. I had to stream from my phone to the tv and couldn't get it to work. Most of the closets had junk just thrown in them haphazardly-a vacuum, dirty sheets, blankets, and towels. The linens on the beds were not clean either. Lots of cobwebs on vents on the ceiling and several water damage spots too. Doesn't really look like the house was cleaned, even though guests have to pay a fee for it. No AC. The back door entrance was hard to traverse, especially for my mother who is older, as the step into the house was high up and hard to pull/push yourself into the house with nothing to really hold onto. There should be a railing. Overall extremely disappointed and will never stay there again. Photos of areas of concern are available. I would appreciate a refund.

Nice location
Nice home in a relatively quiet neighborhood. This was a great location for day trips to Columbus, Yellow Springs and Dayton to visit museums and go hiking. We’re so glad we were able to bring our dogs and the home was comfortable for young children. Thank you!

Basic "no frills"
Generally clean, but very basic and no frills. I served our purposed, since we only slept there and did hiking and visited the museum during the day. Town was very nice. Suggestion - trash the couch in the living room!

Nice location in a quiet neighborhood.
I booked this location last minute for a funeral we had to attend and the host was quick to respond to questions. The home is an older home in an established neighborhood that has had some recent renovations. I loved the nostalgia of the creaking wooden floors. Overall the home is clean, comfortable and welcoming and had everything we needed for our short stay. The neighbors are very nice and we chatted a couple of times while we were sitting on the back patio. I would not hesitate to come back if I have the need in the future.

A place to rest
I needed a place to stay that in Springfield that was safe and comfortable. Although I was not there much, the house felt homey and safe. Jack was very responsive with questions and reached out to make sure I didn’t need anything. I would definitely stay again if available next time I am in the area

Great Stay
The house was very clean, Jack was very responsive about any issues that we might have had (we had none) and he was very kind. The neighborhood was very quiet and the neighbors kind. Would definitely recommend for anyone that is looking to stay in Springfield.

One of if not the worst guests I’ve ever had. There was animal feces in the house some even put under our floor rug. This guest did not clean any of their own messes. Left a layer of grease in the kitchen. Tens of dozens of leftover meals half finished left on and around dishes. Clogged garbage disposal, animal pee smell, cigarette packages torn up and strewn around. Avoid hosting this guest. Our property is old and wonderfully maintained and is undergoing major upgrades.
