Perfect Place

This was the perfect beach house! It was clean and just as described. We walked directly out on the beach and having the screened in porch was the cherry on top!

Short but sweet

While a hurricane forced us out early, we had a great time while we were there. Property looked like pictures, living area, kitchen and screened in porch were comfortable and easily accommodated our needs. Bedrooms were also comfortable and plenty of storage. Only suggestion would be to replace toilets with comfort height elongated toilets vs current ones. Would come back again.

our best SGI experience!

Our last couple of SGI stays were disappointing. The last one was so bad (through a local rental group) that we vowed to never return. Thank heavens for Buns in the Sun and VRBO! It was perfect. The lay out of the house, kitchen utensils, sun porch, hot tub, location, cleanliness and upkeep. Painting was immaculate. Loved it. We'll be back for sure.

The property was very clean and well maintained. This was our second visit to St. George Island.

We enjoyed the island experience. The stay was relaxed and everything we hoped for aside from an early visit from Hurricane Debby which created a brief evacuation. Regardless, many happy memories were created. The only thing missing was a golf cart, but that was easily remedied by the many helpful island vendors.

Amazing vacation

The house is magnificent. very clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated. The location is right on the beach - it couldn't be better. Sunroom is a place of power - we shaved off the heat there and at the same time retained the opportunity to admire the splendor of the gulf, dolphins, pelicans, etc. The weather and the moon were favorable to us, and we were able to see the Milky Way. And last but not least, the owners are very attentive and kind, they really care about their clients. We will definitely come back here.

Things needing fixing

We liked the home ,the location etc. There are some major issues with the home is why I would not rent it again. Your bathrooms need remodeling .Toilets are from the 70's and I am in great shape but I felt like I was sitting on a toilet from a kindergarten. We had to spend $100 on a riser for my 91 year old father in-law that gets around really well. The master bath tub/shower is dangerous. whoever built that step to get in the tub made the problem getting in the tub even worse. My father in law could only take a sponge bath while we were there due to no walk in showers and no safety grab bars. You need at least one walk-in shower in the house.

Great trip for late December stay.

Weather was great and property was nice. The only suggestions that I would have are easier access to play room from inside with stairway for children safety and older people would appreciate taller toilets.

Three and 1/2 stars

Our priorities for a SGI rental: 1. Location 2. Space/size 3. Decor On the first two counts, this property is 5 star. It’s right on the beach and there’s nothing like flirting from the house to the beach. Magic! The house has three bedrooms on the main level surrounding a spacious common area with kitchen/dining. We did puzzles, played games, hung out: The space fit us well. Additionally, we cook a fair amount when on St George and the kitchen is sufficiently appointed to do so. On the third count of decor we have to take away a star or three. This house is strange because while the space/bones of the house are good (a bit dated, nbd) and the furnishings are even nice-ish, the decor on the walls and knick knacks in the main room are wildly over the top! Gimmicky, beach-theme decor actually drips from the ceiling. The bedrooms are free from this treatment. If this property just removed 3/4th of the extraneous decor from the main room the rental would be lovely. It’s odd that it’s the removal of something that would improve this property drastically. I’m not fancy, but this was beyond. About the downstairs: this space is fun! TV, ping pong, foosball, bunk beds. My kids (10,11) wanted to sleep down there alone. I was fine with it until bedtime, when I was literally locking them into the separate space and realized I wouldn’t hear even the loudest cry for help. Something to consider. The deck needs some structural maintenance. The owners were very responsive!

Great layout

Perfect for our family. Great layout and fully stocked. We enjoyed having all major amenities on one floor and loved the beachfront hot tub. The ramp came in handy for my older mother and the downstairs entertainment was great for ping pong.

Fantastic Relaxation

The house was perfectly suited for a bunch of guys chilling on the beach and enjoying the sleepy island. The game room made for great fun after the bars closed and the hot tub made for a good backup when we weren’t feeling the brush of the waves. 10 out of 10!
