Lovely meal & stay.
Lovely overnight stay. We booked a meal in the restaurant for hubby's birthday, & finished it off with cocktails, before retiring to our room The staff were friendly, the room was pleasant & overlooked the village centre. Nice, pleasant relaxed evening. We enjoyed our breakfast the next morning too.

The Lion
Stayed here for a wedding at Prendall Hall. Brew pod is a small village which had nice Christmas lights and atmosphere. Rooms were of a good size and clean Staff were polite and courteous.

Excellent food and welcoming staff, who were all very helpful. The facilities were excellent with a very pretty courtyard garden. It was a pleasure to stay there and would highly recommend it.

Lovely little hotel
Lovely little hotel , nicely decorated. Tight staircase but elegantly presented. Restaurant is good for evening meals. Breakfast could do with a bowl of porridge as well as the cereals and /or the excellent cooked one. Overnight the hotel is not manned so those of a nervous disposition may think twice.

Friendly Hotel with good food.
Lovely friendly staff as usual, but you need to replace the mattress in Bishop Woods, it’s the second time I’ve stayed in that room (stayed in other rooms and mattresses are fine) but that one really needs replacing (spring sticking out of the bottom of it that I caught my foot on in the middle of the night)

Typical pub stay
Typical pub stay, but pricey for what it is. Good size room, lots of extras - biscuits, shampoo etc, lots of power points, good breakfast, great staff. Could do with maintenance - bed had spring poking out, shower thermostat dodgy, window wouldn't stay up, heating stuck on full.

room not worth £20
the bed was so uncomforatable, pictures missing, holes in the wall, mould on the tiles in the bathroom. Water stained carpet and water under the bathroom tiles so you got soggy socks. Advised this to the reception and asked for a manager to cal me, still waiting

I will not be booking any more of my colleagues into this hotel or the restaurant in future . The hotel treats their guests with contempt stating that the only time you can check in and pay for your room is in the morning otherwise the person who made the booking will foot the bill. I booked two rooms via Hotels .com for my German colleagues. I had a confirmation email from hotels.com stating that my credit card was only to be used to secure the rooms - my colleagues would settle their own bills. Upon checking out they were informed that the rooms had been pre paid. They asked twice if they could pay but were refused. I collected them and also tried to ask the girl on reception to refund my credit card and let the two colleagues pay for their own rooms. She said that the system would not allow her to do this and that she needed the General Manager to so this for her. She said that she would get the General Manager to give me a call once he arrived later that morning. I waited until after 4.00 pm and then called the hotel to ask why I had not received a call. The General Manager Mark was put on the phone and iterated unconvincing explanations of why this had happened and why he could not refund the amount taken unauthorised off my card. He further explained that it was the hotels policy to charge for the room when guests arrive but only in the morning. In addition there was no working wifi in both bedrooms which was reported to the hotel on check in day.

Nice stay
Staff were great, nice room althoigh the shower was far too hot and neither of us could manage to get it cooler. Breakfast was good also

Arrived close to restaurant closing time all relaxed and a dinner reservation not a problem. Very Covid safe very clean throughout. Woukd highly recommend it. We had a dog and again that wasnt a problem!

Super, cozy little hotel in the smart village of Brewood. we had a comfortable twin room overlooking the village centre. Would recommend. Staff very helpful and make sure you stay for breakfast - delicious.

The carpet in the bedroom was stained and dirty. The bathroom bin was full and there was a frosted glass door on the bathroom which wasn’t great for privacy!

Nice Hotel
The room I had was spacious, very clean and it had character. The restaurant has a courtyard which I used in the evening. My dog Dillon was welcomed. The food was good.

Heatwave work stay
Staff very helpful and polite. The room looked tired and in fairness after lockdown not surprised but a refurbished new look would really get it up to spec. The adjoining grill house was great to eat in and the menu choices very good

2 night break in May
Firstly the staff and service were absolutely fabulous, all staff were appropriately attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our needs especially as we had our dog with us. The public rooms in the hotel and the courtyard eating area were beautifully decorated and furnished. The room we had was 3 storeys up winding uneven stairs - but the building is very old so it wasn’t unexpected. The room was small, nicely furnished and as we arrived mid heatwave, hot and stuffy. The fan provided was essential. The metal bed was comfortable but creaked a lot. The slightly annoying and constant noise from the toilet in the very small en-suite was really annoying - but we were staying because of a stressful family health situation and didn’t want to have to be around plumbers so didn’t report it. The hotel restaurant and food was great and so was always busy and as it is was a great location in the centre of Brewood it was therefore noisy at closing time, so sleep was disturbed - just one of those things 😕. A beautiful location with lovely shops and scenic walks.

Very nice pub/ hotel, the food is great and the staff are very friendly. Make sure you book a table as the restaurant was very busy. My room was cold due to the radiator not working very well but other than that I fully recommend it and will stay here again.

Beautiful village hotel
Beautiful building and the room was really comfortable! We stayed for dinner in the grill and the steak was exceptional. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was amazing. Friendly staff who couldn’t do more for you. Will definitely be back.
