Amazing hospitality
Beautiful property and most gracious hosts! I did not expect such a spacious feel with a one-room cottage! A delightful kitchen with all the basic cooking needs, vaulted ceilings and big windows with breathtaking views create an airy and expansive ambiance, and a large, beautifully tiled bathroom, and the gorgeous courtyard make this the first on my list to stay every time I am in Stevensville! Thank you for making my stay so memorable!

Serenity from a hiltop
My arrival was greeted by a snow covered landscape in October that was breathtaking…. I was in complete awe every time I left and returned to such beauty for the week I was there. The accommodations were exactly as described and nearly felt like a second home while I was away from my own.

Idyllic Cottage
As my very first visit to Montana, Tim's place was quintessential. Simply decorated, this delightful cottage has gorgeous views of the Bitterroot Mountains while offering all the amenities of home. Nestled in the valley, there are multiple hiking trails within reasonable distance and plentiful sights with no shortage of options. If you opt to just relax at the cottage instead, you may see or hear some wildlife while taking in spectacular sunsets and sunrises. The secluded cottage is everything you could ask for to enjoy a quiet, serene weekend. Incredibly clean, the pictures don’t do it justice. This cottage comes with all the necessary creature comforts while still allowing you to experience a low-key getaway! As charming as this cottage is on the inside, it gets even better outside! The patio has abundant seating to enjoy morning coffee or even dinner under a romantically lit gazebo. If that's not enough there's a fire pit to enjoy while stargazing under the millions of stars and the Milky Way that are often visible at night. Tim, our host, was just wonderful. He offered great recommendations of things to do and delicious places to eat. He made sure we would truly enjoy our time and was by far the friendliest and most responsive host I have ever had the privilege of meeting and interacting with. If I had one regret, I would have stayed longer because this is truly the gem of Stevensville and I'm already dreaming of when we can return.

Moon shadow cottage
Outside of the cottage needs paint or replacement of siding. Furnishings were adequate but need updating. Nice big screen TV, but old couch & dining table. The road to get there was very rough for an extended stretch.

This is the lowest response we've ever received. I'll agree with him on the siding as we had a severe hail storm that stripped a lot of the paint but haven't been able to repaint as its been so booked up. Some of these furnishings are intentionally vintage or antique. It's obvious this renter did not get it. As far as the road, you aren't going to get an, away from it all, country experience, unless you are on a dirt road.

I didn't want to leave
I absolutely loved staying here. The views were stunning in every direction and it was a perfect example of the "big sky." The bed was excellent and I slept better than I have in a very long time. I loved all the birds and the deer that visited in the morning. I truly did not want to leave.

Quiet refuge with stunning views
Situated 300 feet above the Bitterroot valley floor and a 10-15 minute drive from Stevensville, this well appointed free standing studio guesthouse offers an amazing view of the Bitterroots and surrounding farmlands. The generous adjacent white pergola covered patio was the perfect venue for morning coffee.

We wondered how remote the place was as we left pavement, but were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful setting. The owner, Tim, stopped by to welcome us and answer any questions. Wished we had one more day to just spend the day there rather than see the sights.

Spectacular spot
The cottage is located in a remote location, high in the hills overlooking the Bitterroot Valley, nestled between the Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains. It's a lovely hideaway, clean, nicely decorated, with outdoor living space and spectacular views. I only wish that I could have spent more time there, but I was visiting family at the head of the valley and thus had limited time to spend at the property. Finding it was a bit of a challenge, but the directions were very good, and once you do the drive it's no problem. I would certainly stay there again if I get the chance.

What a charming cottage! It's a lovely place to stay when visiting the area, or a perfect little getaway for a weekend. It's quiet, it's very clean, and the view is outstanding. We had a herd of mule deer that visited us morning and evening, and that was nice. The outside of the cottage has a nicely located dining table, where we ate on sunny days, and a separate fire pit for sitting at night. There's a paved parking space for two cars, which made loading and unloading easy. In the cottage, everything is as it should be for a comfortable stay. We were able to cook a few meals for ourselves with no problems; there's adequate storage for ingredients and some of the basics in the cupboards for cooking. The owner was quite pleasant and available in his home nearby, but left us in privacy for the duration. It was a restful stay, a nice place to come back to after a day's sightseeing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is accessible from a dirt road, common for homes in the Stevensville area, so be aware of that, but it is part of the charm of solitude. I highly recommend the Cozy Cottage for a relaxing and agreeable stay. Thanks for such lovely accommodations!

Views and serenity
Beautiful views in all directions. The cottage has high ceilings and elegant design with everything needed. We visited for two nights during brisk conditions and enjoyed brief periods on the very comfortable patio. Bluebirds and quail were about and entertaining to watch. Tim came by and he was enjoyable to talk to he also gave us a brief tour. In all, a peaceful and stress reducing stay and we would have liked to stay longer.

Much needed serenity…..
You just have a to see this place….it is off the grid. Private. Just want you need when you want to get away and breathe. Tim and Elaine were there if needed and respected our privacy and offered to give us information on the area and show us around. We did not want to leave and our week went way too fast!!! Beautiful view
The views were beautiful. We saw white tail and mule deer on multiple occasions, often right from the window or porch. The owners were wonderful hosts, very helpful and great to talk with. The cottage was exactly what was needed for our stay. Getting to area attractions and other sights a bit further afield were all within a reasonable drive. We would definitely stay at this location again!

More picturesque than the listing
We expected a lot.... we got more even than expected: clean, very well equipped, up-to-date fixtures and appliances, everything we needed. The setting is spectacular. Tim was v v friendly but not intrusive, the whole deal was perfect. We’ve had other “corporate” Vrbos (e.g. Mountain Homes) and by far and away prefer this type of listing.
