Sunset Beach for March

Accurate listing. Great location for going to the beach or golfing. Comfortable beds, good water pressure in the showers. Appliances all worked. Would stay again if cable tv were provided. We knew going in that it was streaming only on Roku tvs, but we missed watching sports.

Some things need attention

First of all, we’ve been coming to Sunset Beach and the Sea Trails community for quite a few years now. The area and community are second to none in our opinion. This was our first time at this particular property and everything went smoothly and the property was as advertised. However, there are three things that would have made our stay better. First, the screened in porch was dirty with cob webs, leaves, and a family of frogs. There was a large hole in the screen which I’m sure is where the leaves and frogs came from. We were unable to sit outside on the porch and enjoy the incredible weather we had during our stay. Second, the slim amount of pots and pans made cooking in difficult. Lastly, our last night before checkout was spent killing hundreds of ants that had gotten into one of the bedrooms and onto a bed. Looking further around, we found a container under the bed from a previous stay that had food left inside that we assume the cleaning crew must have missed. Needless to say, our last night was spent sleeping on the fold out couch. Overall our stay was enjoyable and we will be back. Some attention to detail would have made this stay even more enjoyable.

Perfect for Us

We loved the property and this particular condo. It suited our needs perfectly as we brought our adult children and 2 dogs. Condo was clean and everything worked properly. We’d definitely stay here again!

The unit was very nice but a few suggestions. We have operated short term rentals previously. Would recommend coffee filters (we left the ones we had to buy), dish soap, extra trash bags, salt and pepper etc. be included. We arrived at night and finding the unit was very confusing even with GPS. I’m sure many guests are visiting the beach. A short hose by the front door to rinse off shoes/feet would cut down on tracked in sand and dirt. It rained most of the weekend so this was a particularly important issue. An entrance rug and maybe several other small area rugs would help with this. There is a problem with the middle support of the bed. Underneath the bed there is a middle support that is loose. Tried to fix but mattress is too heavy but any movement in the bed makes a noise like a slat is loose. Don’t want the leg to totally break. Took linens off bed to investigate and started some of them in the washer. Did not have time to switch to dryer before check out. Otherwise the location near the bridge to the beach, a nice park on the ICW and nearby good restaurants without driving in traffic were all wonderful amenities. Recommend it!

Great location

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. We had our dog with us and being on the lower level made having potty walks easier. There are pathways around the condo to walk our dog and the Sunset Beach Park is close enough for you to walk to. It was clean and nicely decorated. We would book it again 👍

Great property manager, terrible TV service

Very loud party 2 doors down to left until 2am with guests out front getting high, thankfully just the 1 night. We knew from photos there was not a kitchen/dining table, we know not to go that route again. Some small gnatlike crawling bugs in kitchen. TVs are ridiculous-Roku, no local channels, you need a sign in for everything and the 3 do not load programming the same way. As a guest, I want to hit the on button and go, not try to figure out system and not be able to see local channels and watch NFL or NBA. Very nice towels, comfortable beds and pillows, great location and excellent property management communications.

a little disappointed

This non smoking unit was smoked in previously. Numerous cigarette burns in the carpet and we could not sleep in the king bed in the master bedroom per the smell of cigarette smoke in the bed spread. Otherwise the unit was satisfactory.
