We are 6 miles from Tain, our nearest town, but I am so pleased that you felt it was worth it and you enjoyed our rural setting. I hope we might see you again!

Highly recommended
Fantastic breakfast quality and choice. Room very comfortable and well equipped. Friendly owner who gave us advice on local amenities and places to visit. Would highly recommend and stay again.

The property doesn’t look much from the outside but inside it is lovely. Rooms nice clean and tidy although double bed bit on small side, had a good sleep. Choice of pillows which was nice. Bathroom a good size and shower good. Lovely smelling toiletries. Very good breakfast and choice. Service was very good.

Overall a great stay
Room was lovely, great restaurant nearby (Platform 1864). We received a welcome gift of sparkling wine as a congratulations for getting married which was a very nice touch.

Comfortable room for our 4 night stay. Quiet location with nearest shops, pub and restaurants about 4 miles away in Tain.

What a gorgeous lovely find! The accommodation was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The hosts were extremely welcoming. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and can thoroughly recommend.

Great place to stay
Great stay. Hosts friendly and helpful. Even called me up to say I had left behind my phone charger.It’s also across from Balblair Distillery, which has it’s benefits!

Touring around Tain
We enjoyed our stay at Edderton Lodge. The initial impression outside did not reflect how lovely it was inside. The room we had was quite small but spotlessly clean and modern. The en-suite was spacious. Our shower was a bit slow to empty but that was dealt with straight away. The breakfast was plentiful with a good range of options. It was around a 10 -15 minute drive into Tain or Dornoch where there are cafes and restaurants. It was a great base for touring the area and only 45 min drive to Inverness. We would definitely use it again. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I got the feeling it was a work in progress and it looks like they are on the right track

You are correct in that the lodge is a work in progress, and I am delighted that you approve in our direction of travel. We have really focused on the internals in the past two years as this is the most important for guest comfort. That said we have a lovely new roof at the back....
