Great place for a family holiday. Kids 5 and 7 absolutely loved it. Went to kids club daily which got them out of the heat. Loved the slides, kids water park. The pools were hot, not refreshing. The rooms had great air con, which was needed as it was so hot. We ate outside the hotel every night, and easy to get tuk tuk, or walk. Lots around this hotel. Would highly recommend to families was young kids.

The Sands hat uns wirklich klasse gefallen! Bei der Ankunft haben wir ein Upgrade mit direktem Poolzugang erhalten was auch für die Kids (3 5 Jahre) super war. Sie hatten ein eigenes Zimmer mit Hochbett und der Wasserpark mit dem Lazy River wurde geliebt! Alles in allem kann ich das Hotel mit Kindern nur weiterempfehlen. Super Lage auch nah zu wunderschönen Stränden! Toller Uelaub!

Der falder en dejlig ro over én, når man ankommer til The Sands. Stort og lækkert resort, både til familier med børn og uden børn. Børne og voksen områder. Virkelig lækker morgenmad. Dejlige og meget hjælpsomme ansatte på stedet. Der er tænkt på alt, og her er udemærket wifi. Resortet ligger ca.5 min gang fra hovedetgaden i denne del af Khao lak. Hvor der kan shoppet, handles og spises god mad. Resortet ligger en 70 min kørsels fra Phuket airport, forvent lidt længere tid i myldretrafikken 😉 Jeg kommer gerne igen til The Sands

Fantastic for children. The only thing was that I wish they would enforce the Sun bed policy if someone leaves for an hour they will remove the beach towels at times people were holding 4 or 5 Sun beds but were gone for the day

Totaly very good We very enjoyed our stay in KATATANI. But a pot in our room made something food smell, when we mde water hot. We guess another guest might cook noodle or somthing in the pot. We can confirm the smell when we use the pot. It is difficult that hotel staff find the smell.

Liked that it was right on the beach and close to small town. Liked that it had a water park and kids club on site. Did not like that it was very crowded and too many people, too few sun beds. Staff were also not very Good at understanding English.

Amazing hotel
We absolutely loved our stay with all. Staff are so attentive and friendly couldn’t do enough to help us. We were lucky enough to be there for new years eve oh my goodness what a party!! Totally unexpected as we didn’t know it was happening, amazing food, entertainment, and the staff worked so hard all day and evening.

Allt var i stort sett mycket bra men hotellet marknadsför sig som ett hotell även för par och det kan bli mycket livligt och och mycket hög ljudvolym i restaurang samt frukostmatsal. Självklart är de små barnen en stor del i våra liv men det hade varit mycket trevligt för äldre om det fanns en frukostmatsal för vuxna.

Great hotel to stay with kids at. The kids club and water park are huge and the food in the beach restaurant is amazing. Unfortunately there is only a small beach you can’t lay on. And it’s so humid that we weren’t able to get fresh air in our room cause of the Moskitos.

Super børnehotel.
Super børnehotel som får de bedste anbefalinger. Ifht. At rejse med en som fylder 3 år om nogle uger. synes vi at der var tænkt på rigtige mange ting. Klart det bedste børnehotel vi har været på. Super fedt lege rum, hvor der hurtigt gik 1 eller 2 timer hver dag. Vi bookede family room med pool access. Her var der glas og glas låge for poolen, som skulle åbnes ude fra. Så ingen bekymringer over, at børnene falder i. Rigtig god service, og vi synes at det hele gik ret hurtigt. De er godt lært op. Gode til med skemaer og en som kommer rundt og spørge til om alt, er som det skal være. Pris niveau fair for mad og drikkke. Man behøves ikke at gå ud fra hotellet, hvis man ikke har brug for at komme ud. Der er både supermarked og first aid og flere muligheder med mad. Derudover er der vaskemaskine og tørretumbler til 50 BHT pr. Vask. Ret praktisk, og vi oplevede aldrig at vi ikke kunne vaske. Hvad synes vi var knap så godt: Manglede flere thai retter på menu kortene, måske noget mere diversitet og ikke de samme thairetter hvert sted. Voksne retter i børne størrelse, så de bare spiser det samme. Gulvet i fitness centret meget glat Stranden er ikke noget særligt.

Skuffende og ikke pengene værd
Hotel har enormt god rating og har fem stjerner, så vi blev ret skuffede over særligt hotellets stand og mad. Hotellet er simpelthen ikke tilstrækkeligt vedligeholdt og værelserne (vi havde tre suiter) var ikke et fem stjernet hotel værdigt i både stand og møbler. Det var ok, men ikke fem stjerner. Vores liggestole lignede, de var 10 år gamle og fik flere gange håndklæder, der var trævlet i kanten. Morgenbuffet’en havde et stort udvalg, men var bare ikke lækkert. Det var afspisning af virkelig mange mennesker på samme tid, så morgenmaden var mere noget, der skulle overstået end nydes. Vi prøvede også aftenbuffet’en to gange og blev så aldeles skuffede. Til 890B per person burde maden været super lækker og ikke bare en average buffet, som fås på en Thairestaurant i DK! Vi spiste for langt under det halve de øvrige to uger med drinks og meget bedre mad. Vi var meget glade for, at vi ikke havde bestilt halvpension. Vi havde pool foran vores suite - og det var det mest fantastiske ved vores ophold -samt et super venligt personale, der alle smilede og var meget hjælpsomme. Hotellet ligger lige ud til stranden og tæt på markeder og seværdigheder/aktiviteter, så dette var helt som forventet.

Best family hotel in Khao Lak
We stayed at three different hotels in Khao Lak and this is the best hotel for family! - Great amazing water park - Super fun kids park - Close to the beach - Close to restaurants - friendly staff - Great value for your money! Highly recommend this hotel!

All the staff were great. Property areas were always clean. Rooms were great just a little bit tired looking. Would recommend.

Excellent resort in Khao Lak. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable beds. Pools were amazing and both big and small kids absolutely loved lazy river. Food at Talay restaurant was delicious and staff always helpful. Definitely recommend this resort to everyone.
