This cottage was a nice quiet gem in a very beautiful area. We loved the proximity to the trails and water, the very friendly neighbors, and the beautiful sunsets. There were tennis courts at a park nearby that we took full advantage of. The propane fire pit was very convenient, and the grill was excellent. Check-in was seamless, and they had a binder with thorough instructions for many of the questions we had.
However, I feel that there were a few details I had wished I'd known before booking. One of the bedrooms is in a bunkie, which is not in the listing description, and hard to tell from pictures. The place gets extremely buggy at night - we were swarmed with bugs at the entrances making it difficult for the bunkie folks to get to and from their room. Also, there are strict rules around quiet hours (no outdoor activities after 10pm onwards). While we weren't planning on any loud outdoor events (and the bugs made it difficult to be outside), it would have been helpful to know beforehand. Also the supplies at the cottage are extremely minimal (2-3 garbage bags, 2-3 dishwasher tabs, 1 roll of paper towels, basic cooking utensils etc.) so I would recommend bringing some extras of these items as needed.
Communication with the host was prompt and polite. I appreciated them checking in throughout our stay. Overall I would recommend this cottage but I think if they update the listing to be a bit more comprehensive, groups will be able to prepare for their trips better.
