Wonderful accommodations.

Our entire trip to Big Bend was perfect, including this great rental. Located minutes from the Resort, everything was provided, clean and perfect size for our group. Big bend

We stayed in the area to do a little hiking. The house was perfect-comfortable, convenient and quiet. We brought our 2 dogs and Jane made every effort to make sure they also were comfortable. Perfect yard for the dogs. Back porch was nice to sit out in the evenings and enjoy the view. Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend, especially if you’re bringing your dogs.

Big Bend Perfection

Our stay was lovely! The house was very clean and beautiful. Instructions about how to care for the house was very clear. Homeowner is very considerate of the environment and of their customers. This was the best trip weve had to the state park!

The house is amazing

Very near Big Bend State Park, and worth the drive from the National Park and Terlingua. Jane is an amazing host, easy to communicate and responsive when we had the issue.If you want a secluded place but not too far from the restaurants, grocery and parks, with a fenced in backyard for the dogs, this is the place to stay. And he patio at night and during sunrise has one of the most spectacular views you will find in the area.

Perfect house to share with family

This house was perfect for us. It was very spacious and accommodated 6 adults nicely. Everything was clean and orderly. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked great. The view of the sunset is great from the house. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely book this place again!

Perfect long weekend in Lajitas

This property is amazing. It is in an ideal location between the state and national parks, allowing access to both. The three rooms were perfect for our group of four people. There are many places to sit outside and enjoy the stars, and the house was well equipped with everything we could need. Jane was amazing - in good communication with us with advice about things to do and places to eat. This was a perfect trip!

Beautiful Home with Incredible Views

We stayed 4 nights while we explored Big Bend Nat’l and State Parks. Very conveniently located to both. Restaurants in Terlingua-Study Butte short drive. Don’t miss the Starlight. Kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils for preparing meals. Property was very clean. Yard is rocky for tender footed pups but had been forewarned. We were in awe of views from every window. Stay here! You won’t regret it.

Beautiful!

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting. Owners are quick to respond to questions. Very private with great views of the surrounding hills. Loved the local road runner who darted through twice. :) Quiet neighborhood. Easy drive to BBNP 40 to 50 mins away. Don't miss BB Ranch State Park! Drive south instead of north and at least take in the beautiful scenic drive. Begins only a few miles from the villa. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return and stay again.

Oasis in the desert!

What a great spot out in the Lajitas-area. We absolutely loved our stay and using this house as our home base for a few days of West Texas adventures. Easy access to the State Park, the National Park, the amenities of Lajitas, and Terlingua ghost town.

So quiet and clean

Exceptionally clean. As advertised. Super quiet w amazing access to state and national parks. Lots of space. It was nice there were a few condiments and spices and soaps provided. Would stay here again if we come back to the area. Jane was excellent. There were even treats and toys for our dog. Thank you for having us!

Oasis in Most Beautiful Desert in Country

You couldn’t do better than this comfortable home in unbeatable location. We booked here for a book and then were lucky to be able to extend our stay three more days. AC is necessity and this home had it!!! We’d hike early for several hours and hangout at home during the heat of the day. Let me comment about another recent guest’s venomous complaint about the toilet system. First, the toilets worked perfectly if you follow instructions to only have the waste in toilet and put used TP in closed trash container. Second, there is over ample supply of trash bags so you don’t need to keep the used TP in the bathroom if your nose is over-sensitive. Third, that is how one integrates modern life with arid desert environments. I would have happily stayed here if there had only been pit toilets!! This house has the superb feature of having fully walled yard which was perfect for our dogs. That is such a big bonus.

The sunset, sunrise and night sky view from the front yard is magnificent! The house is acceptably appointed and quite functional. The third bedroom off the kitchen, former garage, is spacious, but can be noisy from early risers. The toilet system is miserable. No toilet paper is allowed in the toilet. The toilets don’t flush well and don’t handle solid waste efficiently. The location is superb. It’s close to a beautiful drive and a slot canyon hike in Big Bend State Park. That’s a must see. It’s also very close to the national park entrance for easy access. All in all if you can get past the toilet thing it’s a great place to stay. The host is easy to contact and communicates frequently.
