Thank you for your review. We apprieciate your feed back. Our standard studio are based on a main road and have a bar and restaurant located downstairs.Our superior studios are very quiet and are off the road, if you wish to book in the future

Having the restaurant right next door was great, service and food was amazing. The room we had at the hotel was lovely and quiet and very clean. We would certainly return again.

Room was cold on arrival & heater struggled to give enough heat. We thought motel had lift but lift was locked in our block

Thank you Peter for your review, we appreciate your comments. We would normally set our heaters to go on early evening. In this case we apologize this over site, we would recommend a ETA so a warm room would be a nice welcoming on these cold days. This heater is fairly new and does not blow out heat like the traditional fan heaters, they do take longer to heat up, but they are efficient enough to keep a warm room if on high. The lift is operated by a push button,and doesn't open by the door handle and is never locked. Instructions on use of the lift are located at the principal entrance. We are always contactable if you require assistance.

Could be brilliant, but isn't
This motel could be fabulous, but sadly it isn't. On the positive side, the rooms are well furnished, extremely clean and the beds are comfortable. The bar downstairs is convenient and the food pretty decent, if you like a basic menu. On a negative note, the room was exceptionally noisy, with load music from others guests, the bar below and intolerable traffic noise from SH1, which is 10m away. Additionally, the motel appears to be a haunt of contractors and tradesmen, who have food delivered to their rooms. This made our room and the whole corridor smell like a takeaway foyer, for hours.

Thank you for your review and we value your feedback. Yes we are located on a busy main highway and unfortunately is out of our control, Our units are all double glazed, which takes away most of the traffic noise. 95% of our business is contractors and truck drivers, who enjoy the convenience of having a bar and restaurant onsite for there breakfast trays, packed lunches and evening meals.

Thank you for your review. The wifi is normally really good as we are on fibre. There was no signs of smoking in the room as you claim. I am a non smoker and would be the first to smell this in any of the rooms. Sorry we met your expectations this time.

Rooms recently refurbished but these are just bedrooms with a sliver of a desk, a mini box for a fridge and a toaster and jug squeezed in for good measure. But worst of all - no air conditioning! The fans could not get bedrooms less than 25 overnight and one couple struggled to rest in a bedroom that remained at 27 until the very early hours of the morning (they were unable to leave window open due to road noise)

Comfortable and fairly close to Timaru airport
Arrived and was slightly confused as the hotel reception was in another building - after working this out I checked in ok. Ok room - it was a standard and in the older part. Comfortable bed and I wasn’t there for long so happy with the choice and location.

What nice quiet motel. Just missing some essentials like iorn, proper aircon, but there was a fan. There was a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, but the place could do well with a kitchenette.

The bed was like a rock. Not a good sleep at all. Room tiny and no air con so like an oven and weather wasnt even hot. The cleaning service showed.up both mornings at 8.30 so no sleep in at all!

Good location for Highway 1 and for city. At first sighting of Motel was lost amongst all the other businesses on the site. Owners very helpful with extras.

Excellent place for a stay in Timaru. Dairy next door, bakery over the road and a very good restaurant downstairs serving all meals at a fantastic price. Room clean, Sky TV, toiletries, kitchenette has plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, toaster, microwave , jug, tea and coffee, toiletries, plenty of towels, hot shower with great pressure, good heating, and quite despite being by main entrance road into Timaru- definitely a great stay for the price

Great hotel in industrial location
Great hotel close to the industrial area at Washdyke. Hotel staff friendly on check in, room clean and serviced each day. In location a good pub that served great food both for evening meal and breakfast. Overall a great experience and will be staying again
