Great little find
We loved the location as it was close to my husbands parents and plenty of shops and restaurants are close by. The space was great, as was having a washing machine and dryer as we were on a 3- stop holiday. We would suggest perhaps fitting darker curtains or blinds on the windows at the front of the property as the location is quite light even late in the evening. Otherwise lots of great facilities. Thank you!

What a gem!
We’ve loved this wonderful small apartment. It was Perfect for our needs. Beautifully presented with nice pantry basics provided, quality linen and an awesome shower, this apartment is on the bus route into Wellington CBD and provided good value accommodation at less than $60 per person per night. Great location in a funky spot
The bus is literally right outside your door and it goes to or connects easily to almost anywhere. We had no problem getting a parking spot on the street nearby but never used our car as we could walk or bus everywhere). You can walk to very good restaurants (the Larder, for breakfast or lunch, is excellent; the restaurant at the Roxy Cinema is also great, as is the theatre itself) and you have a nice coffee shop immediately opposite (look up opening hours). Though quirky with an odd set up, it has all you need including reasonable kitchen and clothes washer and dryer for a very reasonable price. Zelda was super quick to respond to questions

Great quirky little place
The bach was clean and tidy, well equipped with all the essentials. We booked with our two dogs and there were dog bowls available when we checked in as well as a packet of treats. We travelled down after finishing work so checked in very late and the host had the lights on, curtains drawn and the air conditioning on. We felt very welcome. The Cafe across the road is an absolute gem, coffee 20 metres from the door. Just a few minutes drive to a dog friendly beach. You won't regret booking this little bach for your stay.

Little cutie
This is a sweetie, reminded me of beach bach. Basic but adequate for short stays. Great having bus right outside and cafe over road. Only comment from friends, no wine glasses, and could do with blinds on windows. Good kiwi no frills, cheap acomodation.

A quirky type of accommodation being an ex-shop but that just adds to its uniqueness, with retro and vintage vibes. Really appreciated the extra bathroom space too when there was 4 of us! By car, literally 5mins or less to Weta Workshops, only 10 or less to the airport and about 20mins to Wellington central, so a great location. Bus-stop right outside, street parking available, supermarket a few minutes drive away as well. And Zelda is a great host too, so considerate. Thank you Zelda for sharing this special space.

Cozy and convenient
We went for the FIFA Women's World Cup. I was worried because the Miramar area was far from downtown, but this location is great. The Miramar downtown has lots of restaurants/bars, is near the Weta workshop and the bus stops right in front of the house. This was incredibly convenient, especially during game days. Zelda was a great host. She was very communicative and checked on us during some particularly high winded nights. She was also able to be flexible on our check-in time since our flight arrived early. The house itself could get a little chilly (we went in winter and Wellington was windy and wet while we where there), but we had control over the heating system and extra blankets. The living room/kitchen area was a good size for the two of us to relax in. We walked to the local grocery store (about 10 minutes away) for eggs, sausage and bread for breakfasts that we could make in the morning. The small kitchen was exactly what we needed. BUT if you don't want to cook, as I mentioned, there are great cafes and restaurant options around. The shower was great. Good water pressure.

Lovely compact apartment. Had everything we needed. I suspect there is little insulation making the heat pump & dehumidifier essential, but we were comfortable & warm. We did add extra blankets to the double bed. Very pleasant accommodation & happy to recommend it.

Handy location. All we needed
Very handy location to the airport. Suited my husband and I well. We caught bus to city and avoided the nightmare traffic. Lots of good eateries and supermarket etc nearby. Accommodation is quirky. I think a shop converted to flat so unusual layout but we were comfortable and slept well. Thanks for the great stay and little treats you left us!

Really cosy place to stay in lovely quiet area. Busses right outside, but not too loud on the inside. Good privacy, good wifi, netflix on TV and a Chromecast. Some of the wiring/light switches a little eccentric, but fine once you figure it out. Could use a better extraction fan in the bathroom, and a curtain to block out light on the "window" between the bedrooms.

Miramar near Weta Workshop
The property is located in Miramar near Weta Workshop and as such it is not immediately convenient to downtown. There are limited nearby dinner options but a nice cafe for breakfast and lunch across the street. The unit itself is a little quirky but still comfortable. Uber worked well to visit the downtown sites and activities.

Fantastic apartment
A fantastic apartment. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Our apartment is close to airport, bus services and attractions. It had everything we needed in it. Great kitchen, kitchen facilities, bathroom and laundry and very comfortable beds. Heating and cooling were excellent and we had great wifi. Zelda was very accomodating when our ferry cancelled and we had to stay another night. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful apartment. Highly recommend this property.

Great spot in Miramar

Too small for us and buses only 2 metres from our window dropping of people.
We were disappointed with the size from looking at website. Tiles broken in toilet. Also having to remember to flush the toilet before and after using it. Lighting needed to be turned on in kitchen before we could turn on other 2 bedrooms. No opening windows except 2nd.bedroom.Couldnt see where to empty dehumidifier as instructed.. Didnt like the idea of having a door to unlock directly on the street front. Very nice area and would love to go back to the area again but would prefer a bigger place off the street that would be a little bigger.

Kia ora Jean, I'm sad to hear you are disappointed with your stay. I provided a video to show how big the space is. I'm sorry you didn't gage that from the video. The reminder for the toilet is because kids especially, do half flushes and I have had to be elbow deep in waste trying to fix blockages. Emptying the dehumidifier is pretty simple, you just need to open the door, pour out the water into the sink and then replace the container back into the dehumidifier. I'm sorry that instructions weren't provided. This was not a well matched stay, please read and ask questions before future bookings elsewhere. I thought you and your family were lovely. Relaxing
We all enjoyed our stay, we were surprised to see a Easter egg left out for my 6 year old and she loved it sooo much and the other goodies we received aswell. Very close to town and across the road is a yummy cafe we enjoyed while there also. Zelda is a great host and was always easy to contact her. Beds were sooo comfy, and kitchen was a decent space for 3 adults and 1 child. We will definitely be rebooking again hopefully soon. Zelda even went out her way to send my childs Teddy bear but to us also, which we really appreciate sooo much! Fantastic place in a great area with an awesome host ❤️

A lovely spot in Miramar
Such a great spot here in Miramar. Opposite a good cafe, on the bus route. Comfy and stylish. Our host has been friendly and accomodating. She has left gifts and offered us extras. The bookabach is cosy, and well appointed. We have really enjoyed our time here. Our two toy poodles have enjoyed staying here too! There were treats for them on arrival. Finding accom in Wellington that also welcomed our dogs was tricky. We are so thankful to have found our way here! We are already recommending this bookabach to others! Thanks so much Zelda! Friendly helpful host - I mentioned I was vegan and arrived to find vegan chocolate and non-dairy milk in the fridge. MOST impressed. Other properties have ignored that information in the past.very suitable place to stay while I caught up with old friends. quaint adaptation of former shop.

Tidy, small but handy base for exploring Mirimar area or visiting family. Bus stop and bright street lights right outside, so probably not a relaxing holiday getaway, but convenient for a night or two and well set up by owner.

Very helpful hosts
The unit is very cozy and has everything you might need if you want to be self-sufficient during your stay. The host was super helpful - we left an item behind and she kindly couriered it back to us. The only critique of the property would be that there is only one small window that opens so ventilation isn't that great.

Magnificent Miramar: The Perfect little Place to stay in Miramar 🧡
What a great base to enjoy all the Wellington has to offer! We stayed at Magnificent Miramar for 4 nights. We are originally from Queenstown, I came for work to Wellington and my husband decided to visit via ferry crossing with our son and two dogs, they had a road trip adventure through the South Island and enjoyed going through the ferry and getting into Wellington. Google Maps was their best friend navigating through the city. We booked Magnificent Miramar because it was dog-friendly and although our dogs are crated when indoors and on-leash at all times outdoors, it was nice to be able to explore a beautiful neighbourhood and city. There is a dog-friendly park close by and a wonderful beach at Worser Bay (also dog-friendly) recommended by the host, Zelda. We truly enjoyed staying here, it is a great private place for some rest after a day of exploring Wellington. All is contactless and the communication is super clear and friendly. The great touches are the instructions and helpful hints, the cleanliness, the awesome kids bedding, the family board games, and the place was super tidy, nice and warm. Just across the street is Café Polo and up the road is the The Larder (both fabulous for coffee, breakfast, lunch and even fresh flowers). Bus out front, easy parking, safe neighbourhood, wide streets,… Close-by is Weta Cave, Roxy Cinema, New World Supermarket, Wellington Airport, ASB Sports Centre, lovely beaches, etc. Will definitely be back!

Had a sports event at ASB sports centre, this place was a 2 min drive away. Facilities were homely, great location, cafe across the road. Nice welcome gift. Was a perfect two night stay aside from the Wgtn weather.
