LOVELY PLACE TO STAY!
We stayed for one night on our way back to Devon from Kent and we had a truly lovely time. Our room was large and sunny and had everything we could want. There was a lovely beer garden where we had a drink enjoying the afternoon sun and a really lovely dinner and super cooked to order breakfast. Staff were really friendly. A really great place to stay.

Great stay
I had a lovely stay at the Plough. I stayed on business and my room was lovely. Bed really comfy and a good sized room and clean bathroom. The food was lovely, quick service and all of the staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend for others to visit.

After a day on the Test
Great day fishing with my best mate George; arrived late (10.20pm) to a warm welcome in the bar. Good locals atmosphere and very friendly service. Choice of ales; all good although Old Speckled Hen on draft was my favourite.

Lovely Stay, Great Room, Good Food
We had a really good one night stay at The Plough. Out room was at the back of the property and had a lovely balcony area outside. The room itself is really nicely decorated and the bathroom is modern with a great shower. We had a very good dinner in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast the next morning. Would love to come back for a longer stay - can't say better than that!

Outstanding Pub
Great place to stay with a lovely host, great evening meal menu and cooked breakfast. Room extremely comfortable. Full sky including sports!

Lovely stay
The local area is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful to do a walkabout. Much better than been in Winchester city centre. Owner is lovely and friendly and gave helpful hints on what to do.

2-day short break
Nice local pub with accommodation in a quiet area outside Winchester. Used this pub as a base for visiting Winchester and Portsmouth.

Great find
Business trip, room very comfortable', sky access was great - had all channels including movies!!! Wifi good but no phone signal at all here. Only other downside was electric shower. Not good pressure and took a while to get steady temperature. I would stay here again though and recommend to others.

Lovely stay.
Room,food and service were great. En suite lacked a bath, the shower was weak and it was cold. The evening meal we had in the pub was lovely and had a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely food and fantastic service
Lovely stay in pleasant pub. We were visiting the local area to see the Christmas markets and as hotel prices in Winchester were pricey we thought we would try our luck further out....we weren't disappointed. Ashley and his staff were fantastic,which made the stay an absolute pleasure. The food was very good quality and reasonably priced. The rooms were comfortable and had everything required,even sky TV with sports! The only very slight negative is area is very quiet with not much around. Which is great for relaxing but difficult to get around without a car. We decided to head into town for a few drinks without the car so went for the local bus stop,only problem is the buses don't run very regularly. Luckily Ashley (pub landlords) very generously gave us a lift to a busier bus stop. Overall lovely break,the service received truly made it memorable. I would definitely recommend.

Nice enough
Lovely place, well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. There was no veggie option on the menu which was a bit surprising. If you do book here, I would suggest asking for a room at the back of the building. Passing traffic isn't heavy, but I was awake from 5 am. I would stay here again (but at the back of the hotel and ring ahead about a veggie meal)

Beautiful clean quaint little hotel. Very cosy
Warm and cosy little hotel. Wonderful polite staff. Clean and spacious. Rooms were lovely. Food was fresh and plentiful. Couldn't fault it at all.

Overall good, room large but curtains were not hooked on rail which let light in and too high to even attempt to fix them, room quite cold and bathroom freezing as no heat whatsoever in there.

Very nice hotel with very friendly and helful staf
We had a lovely stay for 2 nights and met a lot of the locals who were very friendly. Especially thanks to Bill who we talked with for both nights and he recommended local areas for us to visit.

Charming olde worlde type pub.
We so enjoyed staying at The Plough. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast delicious. We only had lunch (soup), but that was very good too.

Great rural setting
Very good hotel - we did get upgraded to a large room. The dinner was simply outstanding - mains and desserts. Friendly staff. Th ehotel is handy to Winchester on a relatively quiet road.

Winchester stop over at Itchin Abbas
We wanted somewhere economical to stay overnight having spent a day in Winchester before returning in the morning to start the South Downs Walk. So it had to be readily accessible to Winchester.

We arrived on a Wednesday evening and were shown to our room which was clean and very comfortable. We had our dinner at The Plough with great service and the food was lovely. In the morning, we went down for breakfast and there were a few choices of hot food, so if you didn't want a fry up, there was more selection. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend To others.

Excellent Overnight Hotel
Stayed here for one night and it was a lovely hotel with an inviting atmosphere in a scenic area. Food was of high quality (dinner and breakfast), friendly staff and clean & very neat hotel room. Although the room was a bit small, it was comfortable and perfectly suited our needs. We had an excellent nights rest, even though our room faced the (scenic) main road.

Hotellet trænger til en kærlig omgang mht vedligeholdelse og rengøring. Personalet var meget venlige og imødekommende, men evnede ikke helt i køkkenet at levere kvalitet. Vi havde betalt ekstra for et værelse med udsigt til haven. Det fik vi, men i haven var opstillet et partytelt, som der blev serveret mad i til spisende gæster. Derudover var haven lokalt annonceret som "Beer Garden", hvilket betød høj stemning fra de deltagende gæster, som ikke boede på hotellet. Vi var derfor både af hensyn til lyd og direkte visuel adgang til vores værelse nødt til at holde gardinerne trukket for.

Highly recommended!
A very warm welcome, and a great place to stay. I know it's a silly detail - but the bathroom was absolutely immaculate - I wish more hotels / B&Bs made half as much effort to keep the bathroom looking so clean. Comfy bed, large room, friendly staff - much to like.
