I was arriving in Windhuk after an overnight flight and thus wanted to make sure having a room when I arrive, so I booked the day prior to the arrival too. Knowing that if I don’t show up until midnight, they might give my room to someone else, I even wrote them an email in which I asked them to keep my (already paid room) for me. I got an answer that this wouldn’t be a problem.
When I arrived, the lady at the front desk told me that they’d have to store my luggage because there was no room available. ;-(((
It took quite an argument to convince them that I did all I could have a room at my arrival ( and that I paid for it). After about 30 minutes I got a room (mysteriously).
The next VERY disappointing thing in this hotel was the breakfast. I was used to get amazing breakfast at another hotel ( something with country in its name), but this was just rests of fish, a salad bar that was frozen.
In general I can leave only two good aspects of this hotel, the coffee was great and the wifi
