Wanted to Stay Forever
Gorgeous surroundings. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed home. Charming hosts. And that night sky… We’ve been using VRBO since before apps were a thing. This vacation home is now our favorite! My only regret is that there were just two of us because it is very roomy. Anything we needed was already there. Great place to relax and recharge after our daily adventures.

Peaceful
The farm and location are beautiful and peaceful, which was exactly what we needed after our adventure-filled days. We were easily able to visit Mesa Verde and Four Corners from here. The location is conveniently close to a variety of towns with restaurants & groceries, but far enough that there is almost no light pollution. We had a beautiful unobstructed view from the balcony of sunset, moonset & seemingly every star in the night sky. Dan & Norma are wonderful hosts and provide a lot if thoughtful amenities.

Great stay!
Dan and Norma are wonderful hosts! This was the perfect homebase for our solar eclipse trip. We had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean and close to Mesa Verde and Four Corners. Norma told us about the Lowry Pueblo ruins, a little hidden gem nearby. Cortez is only 15 minutes away with some fun shops and restaurants (we suggest Lounging Lizard if you like pub type food). A relaxing, peaceful stay!

Just perfect…..
Just returned home from our 2 week vacation and have to say this little cabin was the highlight of our trip! Dan and Norma were so accommodating and welcomed us with open arms. I grew up in Cortez and they reminded me of what a friendly little community it truly is. If you ever get to visit the Cortez/Yellow Jacket area, be sure to stay here. It is just perfect in every way.

Cozy stay
Norma and Dan were gracious hosts. Their impeccably maintained cabin was our favorite place to stay during our 2 week tour of CO. It was a little taste of home away from home. We hope to return.

Lovely place, great hosts!
The cabin is great: clean, spacious, and comfortable with country charm. It was hot outside during our stay, so we appreciated the AC. Dan and Norma are super nice people, and also give you plenty of space. My husband and two smaller dogs stayed at the cabin in August for a dog sports event. The farm is is a gorgeous area surrounded by mountain views. Would recommend!

Cute and Comfortable
I can not say enough good things about this little gem tucked in the country. I have been coming out the the Cortez Area for many years enjoying all the amenities it has to offer. Dan and Norma's Cabin is makes it even better. The cabin is stocked with everything you need! It is set up nice with plenty of sleeping and sitting areas inside and out. It is quiet, homey and comfortable for your family and pets. Dan and Norma, along with their animals, are wonderful stewards and it shows in their land and this cabin. You are immersed in the beauty of the West, blessed with great views and sunsets. After you day, you can enjoy a board game or DVD provided by the hosts. My son said staying at their cabin was the BEST part of our trip. The provided WiFi enabled my son to work from the cabin. We look forward to coming back :)

Literally Perfect
Every good review you’ve read before is right on the money: Norma and Dan are delightful, the cabin is beautiful and has everything you’d ever wish for, and the scenery and remote setting is sublime. Flax the horsey and the three sweet doggies only added to our positive experience. We stayed for three glorious nights and visited all the cool sights around the cabin. VRBO apparently doesn’t allow me to list the multitude of public lands that are near to this perfectly-situated cabin, but just check a map and you’ll see that this cabin would make a perfect home base for a multi-day trip. In short, everything was perfect! Thank you Dan and Norma for our favorite VRBO experience ever!!

Wonderful welcoming stay
Dan and Norma personalized our stay. We enjoyed chatting with them. The cabin is a full equipped home, and very thoughtfully laid out, with small tables and coasters always within reach. The location is perfect for day trips. I definitely will stay here again if we pass through again. Or, we could make the effort to do so!

Life on the farm
Idyllic stay in this country cabin. Super comfortable, well-equipped, wonderfully quiet. Lovely to sit on the deck and watch the sun set over their well-tended fields. A treat to chat with Dan and Norma, learn about the area, meet their dogs and see life on the farm. You could not meet more friendly folks. Good location to visit Mesa Verde and Hovenweep. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dan and Norma's farm cabin! It was wonderful waking up to beautiful sunrises from the balcony of the loft as well as the flocks of wild gees returning at sunset. The cabin is comfortable and roomy with a great layout for enjoying the peaceful environment of the farm and is a great base for exploring this beautiful part of the Four Corners Area. Dan and Norma were great hosts and we enjoyed our conversations with them. Visiting with the resident horse, steer, and dogs was a bonus. Definitely a home away from home!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
My family and I stayed at this property during our trip to the 4 corners monument. There were 6 of us altogether & the sleeping arrangements were perfect for our large family. Norma and Dan left carrots for the kids to feed the horse, had all of necessities (including ones we may have missed) and made our stay everything we could have ever asked for. It was a true Farm/Ranch experience and exactly what we needed to make our trip memorable. Thank you SO much Norma and Dan for the memories we have taken with us from your beautiful property and wonderful hospitality!

Perfect "home away from home"!
This was the perfect place to come home to after a fun day of hiking and exploring. Dan and Norma are wonderful hosts. We loved visiting with them and they were a great source of local information. The dogs were a real treat as well! I looked forward to when they would wander by the cabin. We enjoyed hiking (Mesa Verde and Arches), museums, and a local rock shop. The trip to the 4 corners was great as well. This is a beautiful area to explore, but our trip was made so much better with this wonderful place to call home for the week and the hospitality of Dan and Norma. They really did think of everything. The cabin has many of the things you tend to forget in your travels, the washer and dryer were great to have, and the property itself is just so peaceful. We will definitley come back when we are in the area again!

Great Base for 4 Corners Destinations
We stayed here five nights in March for hiking in Mesa Verde, the Needles District of Canyonlands, Canyons of the Ancients NM, and on Cedar Mesa. The Duncan cabin was a cozy base for all of these areas and more. The cabin is quiet and well-equipped, and we particularly enjoyed meeting Norma and Dan (and their three friendly dogs!). Cortez is a 15 minute drive away for meals out (try the Burger Boy for good, inexpensive drive-in food).

Delightful Farmhouse
Dan and Norma are delightful hosts. They were meticulously thoughtful in preparing the home for our stay. The loft was a wonderful sleeping area for our kids, and the open living and kitchen areas helped make for a marvelous family getaway. The property is a great home base for exploring the Southwest Colorado and Southeast Utah area. Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients, and Hovenweep. are all within an easy drive of the home. The farm was very peaceful, and the owners three dogs are some of the sweetest, friendliest dogs I have ever met. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would gladly stay at this location again.

SWEET COUPLE AND PROPERTY
What a quaint cabin and stunning location. The sky was endless with breathtaking sunsets. Dan and Norma are a couple that I want to adopt. My kids adored them and so did we. Their dogs are just as loving. Their cabin saved our vacation from nights at uncomfortable hotels.

Felt like home!

Peaceful and Amazing Night Sky
We enjoyed this property very much. Our dogs made friends with the host's dogs. The night sky was wonderful and we spent some time each night looking at the sky from the upper deck. The kitchen functioned well as we prepared many meals. It is on a farm away from any stores but we usually ended up going through Cortez on our way to and from Mesa Verde NP

Beautiful surroundings
The property is absolutely gorgeous! The little cabin was the perfect size for a little weekend vacation. Beds were super comfy allowing us to sleep and relax in a bit more than our regular hustle and bustle days! We cooked in the well stocked kitchen. Bathroom was stocked with all the little necessities as well. There was even a little gift from the wonderful owners waiting in the table for our stay! It was a great experience and would highly recommend staying here! Hope to stay there again soon!!!

Peaceful Setting
Dan and Norma made us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. The cabin is spacious enough for a large group or just right for a couple. The cabin sits on a working farm with beautiful views and it’s very quiet. The cabin was cozy and very clean. Norma outdid herself by providing any essentials needed that you wouldn’t expect at a VRBO. We definitely would stay at their cabin again.

Charming Cabin
This is a very clean and well stocked cabin. We loved the layout for our family of six: 4 college age kids and two parents. Everyone had their own bed and there was plenty of room. The place was emasculate and well decorated. Norma and Dan are super friendly and have gone out of there way with special touches such as: a gift basket upon arrival, little soaps, extra toothbrushes or synthetic loofas in case you forget yours, and a collection of Keurig cups so there will always be coffee!! Thanks for a great stay. We absolutely loved the views and the convenience to Mesa Verde, Cortez, Durango (whitewater raffling), and apparently Arches Nat’l Park.
