Simply a very smart, friendly and well appointed hotel with big clean and cool rooms. Lovely pool and bar area with easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants and all the sites.

Fin oase i steinbyen. Fint rom og nyoppusset bad. Pent bassengområde. Kattene i bassengområdet var til plage for en del av gjestene.

It is a great hotel with a nice garden and small pool. The staff is wonderful. They could spend more energy on their restaurant and chefs to expand and deepen their craft. Otherwise a pleasant relaxing place. They use toxic fuel for their tikki torches in the garden... makes no sense as it is smoky, smelly, uncomfortable and self defeating - it drove us to other restaurants.

Fire, coconuts & bed bugs
I could overlook the kitchen explosion and the crashing coconuts at the pool. I cannot forgive that my room had bed bugs. The inital response by staff was lackluster at best. As it turned out, i was moved to another room but my room was immediately rented again (that is my understanding. I should also say that my diagnosis of bed bugs is a self diagnosis.) When i asked for some compensation, i was told to ask Hotel.com. I got half off one night.

Hotel with good restaurant
All staff were very nice. Check in fast and any problems. The Green Lagoon Restaurant in hotel is very good. We eat Grilled Octopus with rice. It was very delicious and rice had very good nuts souce.

Accueil horrible, nous avons payé plus cher que l'annonce votre site ! Personnel peu à l'écoute. Lit sale et draps non changés à l'arrivée. Piscine sale... L'hôtel est malgré tout bien situé en ville.

All things considered it’s a good hotel in the middle of the maze that is Stone Town. The only negative few points are: it didn’t seem very clean. In the breakfast a lot of street cats in terrible condition (dirty and sick and mistreated) would go to your table to ask for food, which was not hygenic. The bathroom needs renovation, the toilet was very old and noisy.

Nice property in Stonetown
For Tanzania, great hotel. Hot water with good pressure. Refrigerator and kitchenette. Bed was hard. Noisy in Stonetown, but that is expected. Across from large school with kids until 6pm. Clean, good housekeeping, great a/c. The hotel is about 1 block from the road, but taxi was helpful with luggage. Booked 2 tours with front desk which seemes reputable.

Little oasis in Stone Town
Nice little oasis in the middle of Stonetown. Clean, comfortable, easy check in and check out. Shaded palm trees and pool was refreshing after strolling Stone town in the hot weather. AC was in room worked well too. Had an early flight so they packaged our breakfast to go. Great hotel for the price.

Decent central hotel
Decent hotel in the heart of the city, staff mostly friendly and food good particularly in the evening. Only downside was local noise very early in the morning from the mosque and cockerels which is hardly the fault of the hotel.

Cet hôtel est très bien placé au centre de stone Town. Il est assez grand et dispose d’un jardin. Très bon rapport qualité prix à mon sens pour qui veut découvrir à budget raisonnable dans des conditions plutôt correctes (clim, petit dej) le centre ville

Nice place
Very nice place with a nice courtyard, good location, good breakfast and nice and clean rooms (big and comfy bed), however, it seemed a little like that they may have had forgotten about our reservation, as the room we were given first (on third floor) turned out to be still occupied - we literally walked in to the room and saw that other people's stuff were spread out all over and then we have to wait a bit for them to sort out where to put us. Ended up being put in the room right next to the reception (ground floor), which was much smaller, darker and less nice. Just a small glitch as the room was still ok and luckily a huge mosquito net protected us from the mosquitos that are more plenty at ground level.

The pictures online look great, but this is a 2.5 star hotel. We did not feel safe upon arrival at night due to a lack of security and the rooms were not clean. They were able to fix the air conditioning.

All the good beaches are outside Stone Town. As such Antonio Garden is centrally located in Stone Town. The room we had was small, but it had a balcony. The room seemed clean and the restaurant was well priced and the food was above average for the places we tried. I would recommend.

The staff are helpul and friendly...a nice sense of humour in the decorative scripts all around on steps and walls Tea coofee and biscuits and water provided in rooms. Beds and pillows are very comfortabke . NIce lighting and spacious areas to sit around the outdoor pool and bar and restaurant . A Tiny front entrance belies a spcious area that is within. Arrange your own airport taxi!! Hotel chages 20 dollars! Should be no more than 10 dollars! Also you can get better priced excursions from the tourist info shops.
