“This was my third stay at The Principal Hotel. The history of this property is unique and the rooms are amazing - essentially in brand-new condition and very tastefully designed and decorated. I've eaten at the adjoining restaurant, the Graphite, on one occasion. Amazing food! (When the Graphite is closed on Mondays, I eat at the Thai House restaurant within blocks of the hotel. Delicious and affordable meals!) The hotel is easy to get to and Columbia seems like a nice, safe town. I plan on...

“The woman who checked us in is such a hard worker. The next morning she was running the desk and helping in the breakfast area as it was extremely busy. However…our room had just been cleaned and it had a weird smell. I always check for bedbugs at any place we stay. Bed sheets looked clean and fresh until I lifted the fitted sheet to find another mattress sheet cover and saw an area of brown something. I did take a photo. I would have had them comeback and change the mattress cover but we were...
