“On our arrival the bedding was dirty. We shared our kitchen with them which is not good. We use the same toilets with them that's bad.we needed our privacy. We couldn't use the fridge because they are using it. No tea or coffee in the morning or evening. They stay in the same house and they make a lot of noise till late hours. No towels in the bathroom .no place to hang our towels. But the rooms were clean”

“We stayed in Hoopoe Cottage. While I appreciate that Barton is under new ownership, our experience was disappointing.
Before we even arrived, our booking had been incorrectly recorded for the wrong day (fortunately my husband phoned to confirm). We'd also arranged an early bag drop (no issue there) and were told the hot tub would be lit before our return from the Overberg Explorer.
When we got back, there was no cot despite confirming one and the hot tub was ice cold because the fire had gone...

“If you are planning to stay here you'll get zero communication in advance to warn you that you can only check in during a 4 hour afternoon window. Make sure you ask them to tighten your tent in advance or you'll wake up innumerable times per night thinking you're at Everest base camp. They don't tell you about a tiny little clip you must use, or your tent will be ransacked by baboons that the staff will accuse you of LYING about. Bring headlamps and power chargers because you might be without...

“Opposite of trailer trash! This is trailer glam. All finishes are high quality backed by good design effort in individual units, siting and the central Scandinavian style barn building. Great venue for mountain biking weekends and fireplaces will make this a nice winter setting too.”
