“Horrible run down two storey family bungalow. Everything was broken! Dangerous ledder to climb to the upper floor. stayed one night and it was the worst on our 2 month Bali trip. Wanted to leave the same day but the manager refused to refund the money so we were forced to stay. Luckily we only booked 1 night. The night we couldn't sleep as the room has no windows and no soundproof. you can hear talking staff until midnight as if they were staying in your room. It was super hot upstairs becasue...

“This hostel was really nice, from the reception to the room to the breakfast , all very nice. I stayed for 5 nights , the first couple nights I stayed in the deluxe room and the last 3 in a standard double. I had planned on hotel hopping around the island but Gili Buana was so relaxed I was happy to stay put. As A solo traveler I felt very welcome. Aisje the manager was an amazing hostess, she invited me for sunset and dinner a couple nights which was lovely. I highly recommend this hostel. ”

“If you are going to Gili stay here. Its located in the middle of the island and with complementary bikes and easy 5 minute ride will get you everywhere. The staff are all amazing and nothing is to much trouble. We stayed in the two room villa and it was perfect. The pool temp is refreshing and you can order food at any time. The food and drinks are also top quality are cheap. Dont bother shopping. Stay here, stay here, stay here.”

“El colchón y la almohadas olían terrible y el AC nunca funcionó, y lo revisaron ellos (hotel) pero no bajó de 29 grados!!! No dormimos nada!! La cocina estaba justo al lado (bastante sucia por cierto) y en la mañana escuchas todo el ruido de las gestiones del desayuno.”

“Friendly staff, Very Good AC, No fan, comfy bed. Little outdated but very good for money. However beware there is a mosque right near the homestay and they start call to prayer at around 4am. Rent bikes and snorkels from elsewhere as they are both not in good condition.”
