There is also a sister hotel next door with a bR and good restaurant where we were able to enjoy dinner in a pretty setting"

"The Hotel des Arts offers excellent value for money in a very affordable, no-frills package. The hotel is in a rather beautiful old building in the heart of Montpellier, close to the station, the Comedie area and dozens of narrow streets containing many bars, shops, restaurants and cafes. However I didn’t realize how far away it was from any shops or restaurants or entertainment… only 1 restaurant open within walking distance… and a LONG way from Montpellier… it was my error it not paying more attention to this fact. The property was wonderful & my room superb, with a perfect view of the ocean. Great time for a romantic getaway, not quite as much fun for a single traveller."
