“The room was really nice, the welcome you got from the owner was limited . It was strange that the restaurant only did vegetarian food, we had pizza's which were nice ,also they only did alcohol free drinks”

“The Kames hotel is in fabulous location overlooking Bute and a great base for exploring. We spent a week here and still so much to see. The hotel is lovely blend of old and modern - rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well furnished. We are each night in the restaurant and enjoyed great variety of delicious meals . The owner and staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. Our dog was made welcome too! ”

“This B&B is a hidden gem. If I am honest it's better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in. Helen and Nigel are fantastic hosts and their attention to detail is outstanding. the rooms are spacious, comfortable and Modern. The Breakfast was to die for, cooked to perfection and of a size where I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. I won't hesitate to book again next time we are in the area. ”

“The accommodation is “Airb&b style”, so no service on site. However when I had a problem with access I got immediate attention on the phone. The room was reasonably clean, bedlinen and towels spotless. Shower, hot water etc. working fine, shower gel supplied, kettle available with plenty of tea and coffee. A wee bit shabby outside of the room but I gather they are still working on it. Cleaner/maid friendly. Value for money and I suspect but don’t know for sure that it will improve...

“Enjoyed our one night at this hotel . Staff were fantastic . Very pleasant and we felt comfortable to ask if we needed anything . Room was a little cool but had a heater which could be used if needed . Bed was comfortable . Food was lovely .”
