“Architecture and location are outstanding. Truly amazing. The Grotto suites are stunning. The views, to die for.
The downsides are that the building is in need of a bit of maintenance with chipped and scratched plaster abounding. Our fridge was not clean but the linen was perfect. Lack of stair lighting to go to the main function areas is not great.
Food in restaurants was good with large portions and welcoming, helpful staff.
Highly recommend as a Kruger Park journey stop-over.”

“Wir wurden Tipp Topp empfangen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber - für uns, wir suchten etwas für 1 Nacht (sind von der Panorama Route gekommen und sind am Tag darauf in den Kruger Nat. Park), haben sonst weiterhin nix gebraucht, war es total passend.”

“No hotel staff at reception when we arrived at 6PM, the key was provided to us by a local ranger.
the wifi does not work at all, we reported to the ranger that gave us the key but he could not help. he tried to call the hotel responsible but they did not really care. we could not connect to wifi at all during our stay.
The apartment was not clean at all, cobwebs in every corner. ”

“A 30 minute drive from the Opren gate of Kruger Park and a good price/value considering other nearby accommodations are much higher priced. Seemed to be newer with a good air conditioner and was clean. This is not a true boutique hotel but more like a rental of a large 1 bedroom 2 story townhouse in a gated townhouse community on a hilltop. Our unit had a large proper kitchen and living room and a garage. That said, it might be good for larger families needing space or those staying for an...

“Very nice team, quite, discret, available, very professional. Note: 20/20
The location is very nice with an amazing view of the surounding mountains and cliff. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night.
We saw many animals on the way and around the lodge (monkeys, impalas, gnou, mangusts and a rare red deer) with a particular enjoyable wake-up when opening the curtains: a girafe standing and drinking in front of the terrasse at 6 am.”

“Your response is unacceptable. The Royal Hotel was closed for refurbishment at the time of my booking — a fact that should have been known to Hotels.com before confirming any reservations. It is embarrassing that such a booking was confirmed in the first place, and the stress caused is entirely due to your company’s failure to ensure the property was operational.
I will be taking this matter up with my travel insurance provider and expect Hotels.com to review its internal processes to prevent...

“This property exceeded our expectations. The friendly owners communicated with us through the whole stay via whatsapp. It was clean and had everything we needed. The scenery was beyond beautiful with the sound of the river just outside. Also the illusion of being in a tree house, it was just phenominal. During this pandemic, it was really a breath of fresh air. We will definitely book again and tell our family, friends and colleagues. Thank you for such an amazing stay, your property is just top...
