“Spectacular 200 year old stone building with an amazing view. Beautiful well equipped and spacious apartment. The only issue was we are travelling by bicycle and the road up to the accommodation was greater than 12% grade and all gravel. Very difficult to get to. For other cyclists know ahead of time that you have a significant uphill push but worth it when you get to the top.”

“Beautiful location in the heart of Tuscany.”

“Il Borghetto is a renovated house in the little village of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, one of the medieval hilltop villages in the UNESCO world heritage-listed Val D'Orcia. It is charming and the beds are very comfortable, but be prepared to take luggage up a steep street to the front door and then steep stairs to both bedrooms. Each bedroom is on a different floor so there is considerable privacy. The piece de la resistance is the rooftop terrace, with 180 degree panoramic views over the valley and...

“There is magic in this home. I can only say the very best of things about it and about the host. We’re not typical tourists…my son is in a medical crisis. I needed a sanctuary to stay while we waited for his Dr in Rome and that’s exactly what we found here. I have been traveling for 4 months to try and save my child. We’ve stayed many places.

“The suite is nice and well maintained, and the host was kind and communicated the best they could with little English. We even received complimentary home made wine! The location close to Pienza is excellent - if there was more of a view directly from the house, it would have been perfect!”
