Convenient Country Livin'!
Peaceful, pastoral setting, yet only minutes from town. The house is exactly as pictured, VERY clean and beautifully appointed. Our family spent hours sitting on the porch, laughing and sharing stories. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Abingdon Gem
A very special cottage and wonderful relaxing retreat. The bedrooms were all very nicely appointed. The bathrooms are all updated with high end and modern fixtures. The kitchen was stocked with supplies better than I have at home. The porch is wonderful with serene views of the local landscape. I could go on and on but I don't see how this cottage could be any better that its current state. We hope to stay again next year!!

Celebrating 80 years
I group (5) of seniors navigated the steps and stairs cautiously at Maple Springs. We loved the house and grounds. We were delighted to enjoy the porch seats until the racoon family showed up. Inside was very comfortable.

Warm & Welcoming!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Maple Spring Inn. The attention to detail the host has put into this place to make your stay comfortable is incredible. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs in the mornings and then again in the evenings just taking in the peace and quiet.

Wonderful Home in Quiet Area
The home is amazingly beautiful and the yard is wonderful within a tranquil neighborhood. When you go out in the morning you will hear sheep in the distant field and be greeted by the feral cats near the house. The house is very well stocked with essential items and very clean. The master bedroom upstairs is huge. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Close to Abingdon and about 25 minutes to Damascus. We enjoyed the town of Abingdon very much and went to Damascus to ride bikes on the creeper. It was a very good stay and I would not hesitate to book again.

Adorable house in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay at Donna's house. It was clean, cute and the property was beautiful. We loved all the antiques and especially the comfortable front porch. The location was an easy drive to Abingdon. The only item that I wish they had was an electric tea kettle, but we made do. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and historical home
This home was very comfortable and lovely. Very close to Abingdon yet in a rural setting. Perfect for shopping and attending Barter Theatre. Loved all the effort this home owner put into restoring this historical home.

A perfect place to relax and restore our energy
Maple Spring Inn was the perfect place to relax and restore our energy after each day's outdoor adventure in the Abingdon, VA area. It felt particularly special to stay in a place with so much family history. We hope to return in the future with more of our hiking and biking friends!

Great Abingdon Location
Five of us -- all friends -- gathered at this house which is about a 10 minute drive into Abingdon. The house has been comfortably furnished with many fun details and is EXTREMELY well-stocked. None of us have ever been to a rental where so much attention has been given to the guests' comfort. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was amazing with all of the supplies, pans, dishes, etc. As a result, if you forget something when you pack you'll probably find it in the house! We enjoyed the swing in the backyard and sitting on the front porch in the evening where we talked on comfortable rocking chairs or played games around the table. The surrounding area was peaceful, quiet and very pretty with fall colors. I highly recommend this rental.

Very charming, beautiful, clean and well equipped
Most beautiful stay we have ever had. The wood floors were beautiful and so clean. The mattress was so comfortable and the porch was so inviting. It had a beautiful view of rolling hills. Kitchen was so well equipped. Loved the deep claw tub. Everything was super clean. It was like staying in a friend’s home.

We stayed at this loving home while visiting and attending our sons homecoming football game at E&H. Wonderful accommodations with peaceful surroundings but close enough to downtown Abingdon, Bristol and Emory and Henry.

Peaceful and Relaxing
This is our second visit to Maple Springs Inn, and we loved it. The home is beautiful and the setting is so peaceful. Close to everything you need, but far enough away to feel isolated. We definitely recommend staying here. One personal request might be Roku TV as opposed to Xfinity. This would offer a larger channel selection for less cost.

Quiet solitude
An astoundingly beautiful, fully restored 19th century farmhouse. While “out in the country,” you are mere minutes from all that Abingdon, Virginia has to offer. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect Getaway!
This property was the ideal home base for day hikes in southwest Virginia. The lovely home sits on beautiful land just far enough from Abingdon to feel secluded and peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy the downtown area. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

Great historic property
Our group gets together to stitch and a few of us were taking an online class so plenty of places to stitch and Internet are important to us. This spot had both. We al enjoyed the comfy couches and chair in the family room and the great rockers on the front porch. Plus since we like to cook while we are together it was great to have a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed. We all agreed it was a good spot for our week together this year.

An Exceptional Place
Been segment hiking the Appalachian Trail for seven years and rented many a place along the way. This is the best place we have stayed during our hikes. Donna is an excellent host!

Relaxing after our of town work
I stayed here while working out of town. We enjoyed how it was away from the fast pace, but not far at all. The home was furnished with everything we needed, and the communication was great. Honestly the home looks much better in person than the pictures show! Next time I'm up this way working, I hope to stay here again.

Charming and Gorgeous home
The proximity to Abingdon is perfect, just a small taste of the local country roads before arriving coming from and into the best part of the town. The home is stunning and the craftsmanship was impressive. Doors fit like gloves, cabinets roll perfectly, decor in rooms is exceptionally tasteful, and furniture especially the bathtubs and the Victrola are amazing. A nice walk around the grounds yields a historic spring house. All furnishings inside and out are just wonderful and we also just loved feeding the stray cats that hung around!

Wonderful Stay
We had a great time staying at the house. We were in the area for the Va Creeper Trail. The house was easy to get to and great communication with the owner. It was spacious and beautiful. We didn’t cook, but everything was there if we had chosen to do so. Ample parking area with no neighbors on top of you. Extremely happy with this rental and would definitely consider again.

Maple Spring Inn Stay
Maple Spring Inn was the perfect home for our stay in the Abingdon area! The home and property is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed reading the history and restoration process. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities to cook meals and the bed was so comfortable after a long day outdoors. We highly recommend staying here.

Great!
We had a great time. Everything was very clean and we had plenty of space. It was so quiet and peaceful! It was an easy 20 minute drive to Damascus where we got on the shuttle to the top of the Virginia Creeper trail, and 8 minutes to downtown Abingdon where there were plenty of cute restaurants to choose from. A wonderful stay!

Historic property with honest character
A classic farmhouse with tons of room, sited on a picturesque property. It's rare you find a place called something like the "Maple Spring Inn" that actually has a 200-year-old maple tree growing over a large spring in the front yard!

Modern updated farmhouse in the country
Very comfortable, completely renovated spacious property on a quiet farm road near Abingdon. Bed was very comfy. Wifi was good, our AT&T cell service was not. The inside was spotless. The presence of cats and their food on the porch (we were asked to put food out for them) meant that the porch was not very good for sitting and certainly not eating, as the flies outnumbered the cats by a lot. That was the only downside of the place.

Quick trip for graduation
The house and property are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would encourage others to stay here as well. I don’t think I would stay again with children only because there are so many antiques I was worried we would break something. Also a heads up to future renters there is no cable television or way to stream television. Not a huge deal, but I would have planned a little differently for my kids.

Wanted to let you know the house does have Xfinity cable TV as well as Xfinity WI-FI. Checked it right after you left and it is working fine. Sorry for your inconvenience. Glad you enjoyed your visit. Feel free to bring the kids back. There isnt anything in the house that cant be easily replaced in case of an accident.

Great peaceful and quiet farm house
The farm house was great. It was about a 10 minute drive to Abingdon. Donna provided every we needed except coffee. A toaster would have been nice but not required. We just used the oven broiler. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

This property is so beautiful and wonderfully decorated. It is stocked with just about anything you might need on your stay. I've never been to a vacation rental that was so spotless and clean. It felt like home. We will definitely be back.
