“This was our second year here, due to the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the food and the location. “What a fantastic stay we had as two couples celebrating my birthday. How lucky was I to receive a complimentary room upgrade which was a great surprise. The room had a side view overlooking the water, a comfortable king bed and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with so many cooked options. The hotel was central in Fowey, so everything was easily walkable. Sitting on the terrace with a drink on the water was a really calming area. Can’t recommend this fantastic find enough ”

We were emailed prior to our stay and advised to book in a time slot for swimming, as all swimming and gym sessions must be pre-booked. The hotel is grand and traditional. “This gets a top rating due to the service & hospitality. The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks. Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order. “Obwohl wir ein anderes Zimmer gebucht hatten, bekamen wir ein Barriere freies Rollstuhl Zimmer und Bad. Dort wurde bestimmt seit zwanzig Jahren nichts mehr erneuert. Der Geruch war fürchterlich. Da half auch der eingeschaltete Ventilator nichts. Das Hotel war überhaupt sehr alt und Renovierungsarbeiten bedürftig.”

“The view is great. Apart from that, it looks “quirky but cute” online but in reality it’s just awkward and uncomfortable. The ceilings are low and sloped. The bunk beds are not suitable for teenagers do to the low ceiling and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bunk room. The floors are uneven and there is an odd 1 inch step between the rooms which is just a trip hazard. The bathroom is clean but sparse, not even a box of tissues....
