“The rain made our yurt leak and it was sometimes hard to find someone to help.”

“The property is close to the airport, away from the hustle and bustle of Skardu town. Ideally located as a base for excursions in the area. Management and staff are very attentive, hospitable and kind. They always tried to go over and above. Traditional food was tasty, just be clear about how spicy you like it. Electricity seems to be a local problem but they have an inverter/generator and that kicks in when electricity cuts out. That is an area wide problem in this part part of Pakistan but...

“This hotel was amazing and had a fully functional high quality restaurant. The views of surrounding snow capped mountains were amazing. The only problem was that the entire Skardu town had wifi problems and electricity shortages. Hotel had generators to cope with the situation. The hotel said that local government is trying to solve it. The only workable sim card for phone was S-com but even that was on and off depending on the terrain. So be wary of that. Of course it was not hotels fault....

“I didn’t stay at this hotel because it was very dirty. Pictures are not accurate. I walked out after seeing two rooms. Paint was coming out from the walls, place was stinking, bed sheets had bugs in it. First they couldn’t find my reservation. I had to struggle with the owner about that. Second, they showed me rooms and there is no way I could have stayed at this dirty place. Owner didn’t even offer to reimburse my money.
