  • Welcome to the Cottage at Afton Mountain! Located in the heart of 151 Wine Country, just one minute from Veritas and the Blue Ridge Tunnel. Nestled on a half acre surrounded by woods and an enchanting creek, the cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fully equipped kitchen and cozy living room. The Cottage is a wonderful retreat after a day of hiking the Blue Ridge or exploring the surrounding wineries and breweries. We can't wait for you to visit!

Overall we enjoyed the house very much -- super clean and updated. We were a party of 3 so used all 3 bedrooms. FYI--Queen bedroom upstairs has no bedside table or lamp and very bright overhead light which made it difficult to use in the evenings. We enjoyed the back deck and the fire pit area was attractive although we didn't get to use it.

Clean property, spacious kitchen, accurate description, the laundry in the property added to the convenience. It was pleasant to stay in the property. Just make sure to get in touch with the host the night before check in or few hours before, because they might not respond back right away and the key to the property is a bit tricky.

Great stay for our group of four, though the house could accommodate up to six guests comfortably.The home was very neat and clean, and we found the bedrooms to be a nice size with plenty of storage. 3 bathrooms was a nice plus. We also enjoyed the location, as it provided great access to local hiking, breweries, and wineries. While the yard was just okay and its proximity to the road might not be ideal for small children, we did not have any issues with traffic noise.You will not go wrong if you decide to book here! Enjoy!

This property was spotless when we arrived. The living area and kitchen were spacious and comfortable, the bedrooms had plenty of room to spread out and there was reasonable space in the bathrooms. For one couple who was doing additional travel the laundry facility was appreciated. We also appreciated the heads up about getting in and out of the driveway. For two couples this was a first rate rental.

We had a girls trip and this house was perfect for the 3 of us! The house is convenient to Staunton, Waynesboro, Nelson 151, Skyline Drive, Wintergreen, and Charlottesville. The mountains are beautiful! The house met all of our needs comfortably.

December 2023 Family

Very satisfied with the property. Location was great - close to wineries, hiking, and Charlottesville was an easy 25 minute drive to the downtown mall. The property was clean and all aspects of the stay were very good. Would definitely rent again when in the area in the future.

Very clean and newly remodeled. Beds are comfortable. Super access to the 512 corridor of wineries, breweries, Blue ridge tunnel and the SNP. No great views at the house, but who needs it when you can go to all the places setup to enjoy hanging out and enjoying the Blue Ridge. Defintely plan to come back!!

Great location, wonderful house!

The house is perfectly located near some of the best wineries. Blue Mountain, Hazy Mountain and Veritas are within minutes and were great. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely book again.

A fun little getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay, the house was immaculate and in a great location! There was an issue with the septic but Kristina did a wonderful job communicating the issues with us and the problem was resolved quickly. Loved the Christmas decorations too, we celebrated a late Christmas with family so was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much again!

Weekend Adventure

Previously stayed in the Afton area but other property was booked. On a recommendation from a friend, decided to go with The Cottage. No regrets! Perfect choice for our group of 5 adults. It was just as expected. Super clean, well stocked, and the perfect location! It is in close proximity to multiple wineries, breweries and restaurants. We loved our stay and would return! We especially enjoyed the lovely kitchen and outdoor fire pit. The host is quick to respond and was super helpful with recommendations.
