The location of this hotel is truly its biggest asset—perched on the coast with absolutely breathtaking views. Unfortunately, despite booking an "Ocean View Room," our view was mostly obstructed by a large tree, which was a letdown given our expectations.
The room itself was clean but could definitely benefit from some upgrades. The carpets felt dated and would be better replaced with vinyl or another modern flooring option. The room often felt stuffy and warm, and since the front-facing windows didn’t open, we had to leave the door ajar just to get some air circulation. Small touches like functional windows would make a big difference. Also worth noting: the toilet seat in our bathroom had a large crack down the middle, which really should have been addressed before guest arrival.
On a more positive note, the restaurant has an incredible view and a solid drink menu. The food was decent, though we felt the quality of steak and overall seasoning could be improved to match the elevated setting.
Overall, we were okay with our stay—there’s a lot of potential here. With a few thoughtful upgrades and attention to detail, this lodge could really shine.
