Unit was (steeped) in literal (stench) from multiple glade plugins (AND) glade spray on arrival causing a severe allergic reaction:headache, watery eyes, trouble breathing, nausea, etc.Beyond that, the unit was barebones and uncomfortable. No lamps anywhere, no curtains on any windows, even though things (appeared) new, all furniture & decorations are very cheap and poor quality. There are bars on the windows outside in the front, but not on the window in the back bedroom where there is also a door leading directly to the outside. I did not stay in the unit due to the severe allergic reaction to the overwhelming air freshener situation. The host was completely unreasonable, unaccommodating, avoidant, and just literally abusive. The hosts refused to help me, threatening unwarranted (police) intervention if I continued to require their assistance. Therefore, I was forced to spend 2 days waiting on hold w/cs agents to get a refund through the VRBO Platform & was not refunded for the first night of my 3 night booking even though I departed the first night. I did get a refund via VRBO, but only because VRBO helped me. The host has zero respect or regard for other and the unit provided is poor quality, toxic, and located in a questionable part of town.
