The house, a former convent of the Franciscan Sisters from 1890 renovated in 2023, offers a unique and cosy atmosphere for up to 12 people. With 6 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and two additional toilets, you will have all the space and comfort you need.

Distributed over two floors, it has a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy meals in the open air, as well as a refreshing swimming pool and a barbecue, ideal for sharing unforgettable moments with friends and family. The unobstructed views surrounding the property will invite you to relax and enjoy nature.

On the ground floor we can find:

They also have access to a vegetable garden tended by our children from the Mater Foundation.

Mater was founded in 1964 by the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of Mercy. They were known as the ‘blue nuns’ in reference to the colour of their habits. The organisation was born with the pioneering aim of providing healthcare and education to the needs of the youngest and most vulnerable, with the desire to alleviate their suffering and restore their dignity.

The collaboration of a large part of Mallorcan society at the time was fundamental in the early days of our history. From these humble beginnings to the present day, Mater has evolved and diversified its services, becoming a large organisation with around 450 professionals and more than a thousand users.

At Mater we provide comprehensive care for people with functional diversity, facing the different challenges that arise in their daily lives, from birth and throughout their life journey, and providing quality services. To develop this project, Mater has been established in several locations in Mallorca.

Guests can enjoy the entire house. Rooms will be opened depending on the number of guests staying (1 room for every 2 guests), as the price varies depending on the number of guests staying. The minimum price is for 6 people (3 rooms) and from there on, an extra fee is charged per person per night.

We will receive you personally. We like to welcome our guests on the first day so that they can get to know us from the very first moment and clarify any doubts that may arise from the beginning. Our intention is that our guests can enjoy a holiday in which they can get to know the real Mallorca and feel at home.

The dreamy village of Randa is located in the southern part of the Balearic Islands between Llucmajor and Algaida. Randa, which lies at the foot of the mountain of the monastery of the same name, captivates with its charming natural landscape of mountains and fertile plains as well as its proximity to the capital of Palma. Generous houses and estates made of natural stone, lush gardens, trees and Mediterranean plants characterise the townscape.

The approximately 100 residents of this attractive residential area appreciate Randa for its peace and seclusion, as well as for its original architecture. In the spacious, traditional country houses and fincas with extensive plots of land, prospective buyers can settle in one of the most sought-after locations in Mallorca and at the same time benefit from a high quality of life.

The history of Randa.

The three monasteries of Randa bear witness to the centuries-old history of the small village. For example, the monastery ‘Santuari de Cura’ was founded in the 13th century and was the training centre of the famous Mallorcan Ramón Llull, founder of the hermitage of Mallorca. The medieval monastery houses a library with ancient books and writings.

Due to its three monasteries, the small village became the second most important pilgrimage site in Mallorca.
Visitors can expect many cultural highlights in the picturesque village of Randa. For example, holidaymakers have the opportunity to visit the three impressive monasteries ‘Santuari de Sant Honorat’, ‘Santuari de Gràcia’ and the ‘Santuari de Cura’.
In addition, the six small mountains in the municipality of Algaida are ideal for interesting excursions, either on foot or by bicycle, in the midst of beautiful nature. A popular destination is the 544-metre-high Puig Randa, from which you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the fertile plain, the Tramuntana mountains and the bay of Palma.

We recommend coming by car.
The supermarkets and most of the restaurants and shops are in Algaida, a 9-minute drive away.

The charming village of Randa also offers a first-class gastronomic experience. For example, the restaurant ‘Es Recó de Randa’, located on the mountain of the same name, invites you to enjoy sophisticated Mallorcan cuisine
The authentic Mallorcan restaurant ‘Celler Bar Randa’ also stands out for its excellent cuisine, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. Among the specialities of the house are juicy beef steaks and spicy snails.
